Client download problems

    My comp has above recommended operating system and after a full system diagnostic and reboot... You client is still bugged. Any suggestions?

    What kind of issues are you experiencing?
    Is the download not progressing?

    It says there is an error code 740 and the file already exists... After I did a full system reboot.. The file cannot exists on a wiped system. Your client is bugged

    I don't think the client is the issue here:

    Here's what you're gonna do:
    Go to the registry where ever you saved the BSGO client, then follow this path: BSGO and delete the "Client" folder.
    Then close and restart the launcher, now the files are going to be downloaded again, hopefully correctly this time. If the error still occurs, delete everything in this registry (the BSGO folder) and reinstall through this link: https://battlestargalactica-311-client.bpsecure.com/70460/Installer/bsgo_setup.exe

    Just to note, it's not "our" client. Just a couple folks like test# and Biohazard trying to help out fellow players.

    Also, if you have continuing problems, you should definitely try contacting support. The link is at the bottom of the login web page.

    Well I tried Test's advice and it didn't help. I will send a support ticket in and see what I can find out.

    If I use facebook to login will deleting FB game room cause me trouble? Because this started when I did... Been racking my brain wondering why and I just now remembered that I deleted it from my PC

    No, but could you provide a screenshot of the logs or the error message?

    I log in directly via the client and us.bsgo.com to the game/forums, and I know they got rid of quite a few of the portal logins awhile back, but I think people are still logging in via FB, although that's just a bad idea for so many reasons... one example is a security issue this week where hackers compromised all the login info for Quora.com which included FB and Google logins, opening up all those accounts mailing addresses, friends lists, etc. etc. I would never use either to log into a site.

    But anyhoo, I assume that's not the problem. Maybe an obvs question but your Windows installation is legit, correct? Not a pirated version. And it would help to get screenshots, error messages, logs, etc. as test# suggested so we can try to help, if we can. We're fairly limited in what we can do but sometimes we can figure out issues.

    So I have tried getting BP to switch to my current email I use to login for facebook.. Is there a way I can get them to change it from FB login to email Login? I have lvl 13 line gear, lvl 12-14 escort gear and all lvl 12 strike gear. I do not want to go back and restart years of playing.

    We really need error messages, screen caps, etc. It requires effort on your part or there's not much we can do to help.
