Not sure about the logic here, although [I am not disagreeing with you, this is DO] I just don't see it as a very good business model.
Most of the UFE I have encountered have millions of URI and billions of credits so would only be buying premium and rebate, at best.
Newer players striving to join the UFE ranks would be the biggest spenders yet are the same group ignored by DO by allowing the bully boy tactics of many MCC members.

"IF" you are correct and DO relies on the income from the elitist few for their income stream, they are not only limiting their income potential but also reducing the lifespan of the game. The fact there are what used to be self supporting/profitable servers all over the world being merged into far less servers in an attempt to increase numbers playing is a pretty good indication, what they have been doing for the last few years is not working - Maybe it is time to bite the bullet and fix some of the long standing problems [MCC for one, reliable ingame chat could be another] and see if they can't get some new blood onto the maps.

If Do did change things so that MCC were "forced" to become one company clans and some players left because of it - Wouldn't that be an opportunity for the game to grow once again?
If i were in marketing and suddenly found my product had a whole new outlook and a lot of bully boys (a relatively small subset of players that affected many) had left, I'd be taking advantage of it and encouraging new players to try my product/game..
DO has spent quite a few years gaining the reputation it has today [don't play this game unless you are a masochist (a person who enjoys an activity that appears to be painful or tedious)], now could be the opportune time to try and rectify that image.

@Sgt_Ocker, the logic was from what you deleted from the quote, the drop in populations (revenue) was from the introduction of the UFE equipment and Galaxy Gates being the way to get UFE. The results are seen as Rank Chasing UFE Bullies who chose to form MCC's for the purpose of server control and Event Reward manipulation as seen now. The Bullies prior to the Reloaded were well known and attacked by many who fought valiantly trying to defeat them, and when they did they were sent packing to their home base to repair. But the team could also allow the scripts to do their job and actually delete accounts for cheating which now amount to revenue loss again.

We have 27 pages of thoughts and suggestions about the MCC and yet there is NO WORD as to what is being done to correct this issue.

Yes I understand that, I only deleted the first part to try and emphasise the perceived reliance of those already at the top level of the game as the main income source.
I firmly believe that removing cross company clans and the ability to form them would only benefit the game in the long run.

I too remember the days when bully boy invaders were met with opposition that more often than not saw them back at their home bases (This is a relatively new account but I did play back in 2011 till 2014). Yes we all complained about the bully boy tactics back then BUT we also had a way to deal with them and did so. Now you really have no choice but to ally with them (MCC) or become fodder for their collective ego's.
I watched again yesterday as 5 members of my company simply gave up cubing when a single "enemy" member of the top MCC arrived and starting shooting the cube they were shooting - All 5 went to the nearest portal and just sat there, allowing him to cube, in an enemy map, unopposed.

Funny you mention the scripts - After recent events of banned players being reinstated AND rewarded for it, I'm not commenting.

27 pages with many good thoughts and suggestions and not one iota of input from the OP or anyone else on the team - I understand this is a big issue that can't be dealt with lightly but seriously after nearly a year of this thread being started - Couldn't we at least get an acknowledgement the thread is still being monitored and the issue being looked at...

Just get rid of mcc and don't allow multi company alliances, etc. The whole point of different companies in a pvp game is to challenge for top position. To me it is a very easy solution, let them spit their dummies from their prams and just get on with it. The game will soon become great fun when all of this is put right.

Yes one clan can have a maximum of 50 members, so technically "A" Pirate clan would only have 50 vs everyone else, except the other pirate clans they ally with - Whoops, now we have a merged server with 20 MCC/Pirate clans OR 1,000 players allied and working together with a common goal of killing off as many MMO, VRU and EIC as they can. They don't "fight" each other unless it is for rank and that is done in Hades - Doesn't leave a lot of room for those not wanting to go pirate, does it?
NB; Even if only half of those 20 MCC allied up that's 500 players fighting as one clan - They still won't directly assault the remaining MCC and why would they - You don't go out and pick a fight you may not win - These guys didn't get to the top of the rankings by being stupid, they know how and when to pick their fights and as long as there are "non-pirates" [MMO,EIC and VRU] for them to shoot at, they aren't taking each other on in an all out assault...

On one of the servers I play the top 8 clans are made up of 1 main clan + 3 sister clans (roughly 140 of the 400 or so active players on the server), they are also allied with 2 of the remaining top 8 clans, so 6 of the top 8 clans are realistically ONE clan with shared comms and a high level or organization - Between them they make up well over 50% of the active player base.

OP = Original Poster (the person who started the thread).

The one thing you are forgetting is the MCC want to OWN the Top User and Rank levels, IF they are Pirate you have removed them from these and so now they HAVE to become Company Loyal again, this just means they become 3 clans and still fight together just not sharing the kills unless grouped together.

I'm not sure we are looking at the term "pirate" in the same way - I know currently it means losing all your honor etc BUT if DO were to create a pirate faction for MCC, they would simply lose all company affiliations. We would have MMO, VRU, EIC and MCC, members would still be able to "OWN" Top User and Rank.

Personally I don't see creating an MCC faction as the answer but it is an option..

I see what you are saying. You are seeing MCC as a company. I am envisioning pirate clans not being allowed to make alliances. I think it would be a challenge in any server for 50 players to survive as an an enemy of the entire server. I have no doubt there would be groups of players who would love to try. I am in favor of other options as well like not allowing people to shoot members of their own company. That seems simple enough and would eliminate the most annoying part of the MCCs. Whatever the solution Dark Orbit settles on, I hope they take action soon.

As for the merge and MCC. It will be interesting to see how the culture of merged servers change. I am curious how the merge affects payers who under the same login have accounts on two servers being merged. I guess I will find out this week.
