I dont really care about the bloody wild swing nerf
I use it but not that often
Rageful swing however still has 25% increased damage to currently bleeding foes
And bleed damage is still increased by 50%
And Smash still deals 25% more damage to currently bleeding foes too
So map farming will be well easy like it is currently
I do have a problem with smash and banner of war though, the 35% speed boost is nice.
However I am working on my defenses at the moment, once my defenses is much better I can swing swing smash smash wash rinse and repeat.
My damage with rageful swing will remain 125% my damage with smash will remain 285%
Thank you bigpoint for getting that weapon description wrong xD
The only thing that bothers me is that speed loss during banner of war both me and all dks will feel that 35% speed loss, that includes all q7 users

It would be more beneficial if Phiral edited his post personally.

Time for another before and after. The focus here is a weapon upgrade, so damage is the primary change. There is minor changes to HP and armor because I augmented the torso one level, minor changes to the speed because I upgraded a small rune in my decoration, and minor resistance upgrades because of refining a diamond.

The last weapon had 767 damage that upgraded to 958 at LVL 60 and the new weapon has 818 and 1021 at LVL 60. That 63 damage, multiplied by my various damage multipliers, gave my 1085 more damage.

Every day, I get a little closer to my ideal build. After I augment the T5 ring and R208 hits, I'll start working to make a hybrid damage/crit helmet to replace my existing crit helmet. I did some quick number crunching, and after R208 (and a lot of wisdom farming), I expect that I'll reach 25k-30k, 80% INF3 crit, 5x crit damage, and 2.2+ speed. Yes, there are going to be some builds out there with more damage (and likely a larger damage gap due to Witch Seeker), but the ability to maintain 80%, or near 80% crit rate in INF3 is important. On that note, I really need to work on my alts and their wisdom... I'll be needing that mentor bonus.

22k is more than enough for inf3. i doubt you would play inf3 anyway more like fatal inf1 on upcoming wisdom release.
better to build hybrid damage tank bloodmage belt some diffrent torso and pauldrons. that effort and crazy expensive agument those no tier bs up is insane.

Spoken like someone who plays based on gut feelings instead of by the math.
First of all, here is my overarching build philosophy. Always build for the top difficulty first. If it is good enough to take on Infernal III, it is good enough to take on any lower difficulty. Once you have a top difficulty build, that is when you start building alternate items to improve your performance in lower difficulties.

By that logic, I shouldn't devote significant resources towards improving my damage at the expense of my crit down until I'm where I want to be for Infernal III.
You are only partly right about this. The most important feature of the torso and pauldrons are the 2x899 crit lines in the unique values and the 10% crit rate set bonus for 2x pieces, and those are not affected by the item's tier. Improving their tiers is a luxury that will simply improve HP/Armor and provide a little more damage. That puts them behind the Spider Adornment in priority for upgrades as it will provide significant crit improvment..

I calculated out a couple Inf3 builds based on current wisdom and items and the differences are slight (about 1.6% with greens and 7.5% with reds, both in favor of the crit build). I'm fair when I do my math, so I tunned them simmilarly so, just from the objective side, the crit build is superior... but when you consider the subjective benefit of an extra 9-10% crit on the cool down deduction skill for Rage attack, it goes from being "close" to "Crit wins."

I plan on rerunning this experiment for post R208 builds, but I expect that the results will be similar due to the ease of getting crit and crit damage from wisdom.

22k is nowhere near enough, not even when matched with Q7, or any other set.
Lets talk time to kill I got a image a few weeks ago that will explain a lot.
This game is about how efficiently you can kill.
    Nothing else
Now based on the image above and if one were to use 3 parts darkness like I do, you get the benefit of being able to build a build that is capable of attaining 33384 damage (R207 based) and that level of critical hitrate.
I am still miles away from that however, but infernal 4 and 5 is coming too.
My build methodology is to attain max speed, max damage and max crit, only to attain the permanent ability to beat Q7
Let me make an example, currently I do 22500 damage which equates to roughly 10k to 11.5k non crits, with Q4 but the moment they bleed I do up to 16k non crits.
That said once I attain 33k damage I should be able to hit 20k non crits, few as they might be at that stage, it is the crits and cd that excites me because they will be exponentially boosted

Yet you would see fit to tell me about being a DK?

I deal in facts, not opinions. When I am right, especially when I can prove that I am right, I am not offended by having to explain something to someone. I'm simply trying to enlighten you. That said, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. This puts you squarely in the "those who play by feel" category. You don't hurt me by ignoring the advice of someone who understand the math of this game better than most; you hurt yourself. In the final stages of both builds, a darkness build will have superior defenses and offenses, and that is a fact. There is only one exception, and that is for newer players who don't have any sapphires, but for someone like me with old sapphires to use, a 3/4 Witch Seeker build will never outperform a crit oriented build.

Well how do you think they get to kill a boss in 20 seconds?
Anyways my cd is not too wondrous at the moment so inf3 I die a lot and that only has to do with how fast I can kill
And I do currently have 22k dmg and on blues not so much only 28k because my weapon is a 2/2 my team mate Soul is a ranger and he is just fine with 23k damage, but I guess thats the difference between ranged and melee.
Yes nerf us even more let all dks suffer...
Either way the secret is in all the extra crit I got going, example 2 pieces Q4 and 3 pieces darkness all on lvl60 will give me 3900 and 10% more total crit, which will allow me to craft my helm with only damage, which is the only reason why I will be able to reach 33k damage
Well that and insane critical hitrate xD
    [update]
You also forget that theres monstrorum paths so augment core wont be too much of a pain
regarding draken core there is another dragan event probably by July since anniversary is in august and even after dragan there's xmass and a ton of draken core so 2 years is pretty unrealistic.
As for the group thing I can confirm that our damage gets nerfed when playing in a group, and the bigger the group, the less damage I deal, it kinda sucks

Interesting...... Seems that you forgot that you did play a DK most of the time, or at least claimed that you did.

    Similar but quite different.
1 nevermind the description from the bear set since it is wrong.
2 you only have 2 darkness pieces I have 3 (15% more damage and well once lvl60 899 more crit too)
3 3896 crit from other items* x% increase allows me to craft helm with either 30% or 40% damage, something most other builds cannot afford. *other than rings and adornment
But lets say for a second I do craft my helm with 40% damage plus the 15% from the set bonus = 55% more damage than most builds, but not all since blood tooth is out there. that combined with the 25% from rageful swing.
Lets experiment, let me get my damage to 33k average (r207) and see what the non crits deliver.
As per video you will see 20k non crits, one or 2 even reaching 21k

Not much has happened to my build.

I agree that they are different, never claimed otherwise. The only possible "issue" that our builds share is that we may suffer from not having the Q7 bonus, and even then we agree that it probably isn't enough of a difference to make a real impact.

I do not fault your logic in going with 3 darkness pieces. That extra dmg may indeed be a real difference maker, we'll have to wait and see how the math shakes out.

Your build may end up being the best possible and that would be great for me if I chose to follow your lead. I would only have to swap out a ring and boot or glove. Much easier than swapping from Q4 to Q7.
