Pay...a lot... of money... for damage and attack speed gems. As joked about in the past, DSO is the most expensive free-to-play game in history.

The only other alternative is to play for about two years and farm about six hours a day.

What Multi-Sev said: There are two options.
    1. Pay a lot of $$$.
    2. Give up on real life, move into your basement and become a geek. And farm farm farm.(you can also be a half-geek by investing medium amounts of $$$)

    And the more popular recently,
    3. Move to another game.

Now that I have sufficiently discouraged you, here is a small pill of hope.
    oh wait. There isn't. sorry.

You guys forgot to mention the most popular way.... find a gapper so that you never ever lvl up outside of pvp.

Yeah, that's true. I guess I just don't like to think about that way.

    1. Invest time or money, whatever you have the most.
    2. Hang out with strong players, preferably ones who aren't demented or completely self-absorbed. Find out the secret of their success, their strategies and tactics.
    3. Find a good guild. Don't expect a free ride, instant groups, or resurrections every time you screw up.
    4. Use the reference guides: drakensang.wikia.com is fast and mostly accurate. The forums can be useful, but awkward.
    5. Trial and Error. Try everything. If it doesn't work, drop it like a hot rock, and try something else, or a little different.
    6. Plan ahead. You want an epic mount from PvP, start months ago.
    7. PvE has a lot of transferable skills and gear. Get them.
    8. Have fun. If it becomes too much like work, it will eat itself alive, until your burnt out.

Har har. People who aren't self-absorbed or demented hardly stay in DSO for that long. That and people who are addicted to the game.

You might be surprised at the number of strong players with social skills and mature attitudes. Generally, only like individuals or trained observers can tell the difference, or run with them for long. LOL
I'm guessing from the logic in your sentence structure, academics is not your strong suit, or alcohol is very important to you. Enjoy!

I must apologize. 2 days of insane pearl farming and stupid green items after killing dragan and Sargon does nothing to improve your mood. There are nice people ingame and I have had the fortune to meet a few of them.
That aside, I do stand-by my statement. The People who are strong ingame are either p2p or veterans. Now Veterans have their own circle of friends that they have played 3 years with and wont run much with newbies ingame. p2ps are addicted to the game proven by the fact they spent real money to attain things in the game. And now, I don't think I need to tell you the amunt of self-absorbed and demented players who would kill people 20levels down and have a false sense of superiority that drives them to total apathy to whom they call "N00bs".
Sentence structure? By any chance are you meaning this? -http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=har+har
