    I'm sorry to say, but you are wasting a lot of resources. Big paw can easily be circled like heredur and sargon. Run around him clockwise, attack in between his attacks. Especially as a mage you could have easily saved yourself 30% of your essences by using this tactic and only using lightning strike. You did get the spot to fight him almost right. If you find the right spot the statues wont fire even once at you. If you havent the event already, try it a few times, and you ll see that you can kill him flawlessly :)

    The toon does have over 5000 snow ess, so he can afford to waste them.
