Hey guys, I just started today and I'm dying over and over trying to do the Crypt of Kings quest line, I feel like I'm missing something really important, but I have no idea what. Here's my characters gear & stats currently:

The items are just drops, and I've taken PvE talents basically, Mysterious Charge, Energy & Mighty Fireball. Any suggestions? Am I supposed to just grind somewhere for gear before moving on? What stats should I be looking for on gear?

    Thanks for the help. :_)

You have to dodge ranged attacks or use obstacles to prevent ranged monsters from hitting you (two-handed weapon means you are extra squishy). Use ice bolt to slow down melee monsters and keep them out of range. Also, kill nefertari first as they will raise any skeletons you kill.
If this does not help, you can draw out small groups of monsters by running back as soon as you see them approaching and kill them a few at a time. Also, skeletons' corpses will disappear after a few seconds, then they cannot be raised any more.
As for the final boss, there is an easy way to kill it, but it takes some practice. There are guides on how to kill him in the forum, and there should be videos on how to do it. I hope this helps, if not you can try to make a group (use region rather than local chat).

A Spellweaver soloing (some areas) is going to have more issues than, say, a Dragon Knight. As spiro_spula already mentioned, you need timing, tricks, etc. You're not built to take much damage, so you need to be wily and spry ;)

The one big advantage you do have is that the A.I. in this game doesn't have much "I". Once you know the exact spawn points, bounce distances, etc, it'll be very easy to gain the upper hand over mobs. You will be able to stop, take one step forward (followed by several steps backward), and only draw out a few skeletons; leaving the Nefertari necromancer that could raise them for later. (Just one small example.) Using stairs and other terrain in a specific manner is another example of taking control over the less-than-intelligent mobs.

    Great advice guys.........

I'll add: Take your time farming and look for items with dmg. Yes, it will be boring, but I rushed my spellweaver through the levels and it wasn't the best way to go.

Don't get too invested in your early gear as you'll be upgrading later on. Melt what you can, but save the glyphs for later.

It won't take long before you'll be able to sweep through the maps with ease if you find the right gear.

Don't be afraid to ask for help and see if you can find a good active guild.

As far as servers go, Tegan gets the same complaint about the lack of english speakers.

Right on! being a spellweaver its good to have a book and a ball for off hand, depending on how much damage u r taking and if ur in a group.
i mostly use a book for high damage and move around alot"archers love me lol " but u will learn when they shoot and avoid getting hit in time.
i also use damage gems and speed,,no crit
took me awhile to learn on my own,i started as a dk but got tired of chasing those witches around haha. still have him lvl 41 weakling lol
now i blast them from a distance with my sw.
pvp hates me being over powered but hey i die alot too,low armor, low health for now. haha
    always looking for better legends.
my english speaking friends r on agathon too.im sure u will run into us in time.we play with all the guilds there..good luck and kick arse !

Click your social button at the top of the screen(the one that tells you who is in the zone or in your guild). Make sure your left tab is selected and type their name in the search bar at the bottom. It will find them and you can tell if they are online or not. You can also add them as a friend from that window. Then you can just open that tab to see when your friends are online.

If they are online you can whisper to them directly or type /invite player name to get them in a group.

More good chat and social info HERE

    Good info, BigPapa.

OhhPaigey, here's another link (it's actually just further down the page that BigPapa posted) that shows the picture of what you want to do. If the person is not in your area (not on the list) then you would type her name into the line above where the purple button is circled and press the "return/arrow" button at the end of that line. Then, when the player's name is shown, you highlight it and press the purple-circled button. This can be a problem if the user used non-standard characters in her name. (The name you type will not match the actual name.) If that's the case, and the player has typed in chat, find where they typed and use the "click-player-name-in-chat-window" method that is described in the link that BigPapa provided. If the player is visible to you, in the same area, you can also [ctrl]+click directly on her avatar to get a menu that will give you an invite option.

    HTH.

Didnt read other suggestions but I would advice you to use ice. Freeze enemies with ice and then hit hard with fireballs. When you are out of mana teleport away from enemies and then hit again. Using this I easly raided crypt when I were 15lvl. Even bosses were easy using ice or lighting.
