You're not going to tell me this is even remotely balanced.

How does bigpoint want anyone to do anything in pvp when this is 80% of the lobbys we get -_-

Low level pvp is a waste of time due to twinking.

Better to just level up to 45 and get your knowledge up to 30, and just take your lumps.

high level pvp is just as bad if you don't at least get somewhere being lower level, my 45 ranger gets absolutely wrecked too, not that much difference.
    -_-

What i did was do a lot of 5v5 and 6v6; 6v6 was useful because you can get points by destroying fortifications.

Yeah, it's what I'm trying to do too. But it's pretty much unplayable with my luck, I get thrown against teams with 4 or 5 flag bearers/marshals at least. And my team would have about one or 2 and get destoyed.
PvP is a pretty big part of the game, and making it pretty much anplayable for "newer" players is pretty shitty.
Especially when PvE is messed up too.

I know a few great players who aren't big on pvp and they can whoop any marshall+ in a sec. I also know some who HAVEN'T pvped on there main and have glorious characters. So my suggestion, level your character, get him the best he can be. Farm, Farm, do what needs to be done, then go back to pvp when you feel your ready, and if you truely are, you'll purge everyone.

Those bullies are only strong at low levels ... when they hit level 45 they are one shot dead.

That was the route I took. I was a level 45 candidate that had done maybe 3 1v1's along the way. Then guildies talked me into doing PVP after a guild blitz in the open arena where I was splitting skulls. I matched up with a fellow guildie that was also low pvp level and we would split 1v1s during slow play times and got through the first few ranks. From there I pushed hard and fast mostly in 5v5's. It's not my favorite aspect of the game and don't feel a need to keep leveling it. But I'm glad I experienced it so I could be knowledgable about it and make a decision from experience.

I know the desire is there on the part of the Developers to make an awesome PvP system, but they have only been doing these minimal tweaks, instead of a complete revamp. Hopefully a major move will happen soon which will entice me back. For now I'll just continue doing the things in game I enjoy without the need for PVP.

I am the same exact way, I do the occasionally pvp(1v1, 5v5, 6v6...if I ever get a 6v6), but for the most part I farm and await gnob. Maxing fame isn't a requirement. It helps? Sorta, but having a better char is far more profit then being able to hit alittle fast.

Level 45? I thought you are playing for 3 years. :D

Not sure what's confusing. Yes on the 3, Yes on the 45 when I started pvp'ing.

I haven't done PvP yet personally but I have a guild who will get me through the ropes when the time comes and I want to start (I'm lv 44 and won't start until I cap 45). Yes, I would be starting late and don't mind being having my caboose being handed to of needed be, but that's part of the learning experience... I suppose, but that's fine. There are several seasoned knight of orders in my guild so that'll help if I need to do 5v5 or 6v6.

But I agree to the thread starter; that is totally unfair but what can do you? One of the many hiccups from DSO (which is why I'm more into the PvE game play over PvP)

Wow, not so sure about that whole lvl 45 theory. I'm lvl 45, novice cent, and get stuck with flag bearers and marshalls all the time. I don't mind KOTO. I have a pretty good set-up for years of playing. I would welcome a match like that.

    Nothing. :D
I started at level 40 (it was cap level back then) ... hit the AKOTO and level 40 ... and didn't enter the arena for almost 1,5 years. :D
2 weeks ago I decided I want to raise my rank ... so it took me 1 week ... now I am a flag bearer ... and probably it will take another 2 years to enter the arena again :D

On topic- I see a lot of people whining these days ... how unbalanced the fights are... I would say that is EDIT.
The arena is well balanced. And you can't take into consideration low level fights. Come to cap level and you will see that it is balanced.
There will always be players 5 levels lower or higher than you when you are pvp-ing at low level ... and there will be always big money spenders and twinks.
When I was starting pvp back then ... I was on all purple gear and full splintered gems :D ... red essences were dealing 300% damage ... and you respawn at the place where they are waiting for you and kill you again in fraction of a second. You would probably get killed more than 60 times in single 3vs3 match ... back then.
I ate all the dirt in the arena ... and yet I managed to build strong character who can oppose even the heavy P2P players.
And today what people do? Only whine.
PVP will never be fair so deal with it.
