This month I have idea to finish quest for cloak of power. It was easy task.... I have 1167 gold and collect 12 deadly shards, 90 life threads and 11 dark cloth of immortality. So how hard it can be to collect another 19 dark cloth of immortality???

Answer: 25 days after I have 17 dark cloth of immortality. Just a 6 of them in 25 days!!!!!!!!!

I could not beleve it..... so I start to count. I had to kill 47 mortis priest to get one dark cloath of immortality!?!?!?!?!?! Are you sirious? What did you think? That this quest need several month of play? OK, m2 map is good farming ground but really....

The power cloak quest is enough to make you seriously question why you play the game. It took me 165 full runs in HOD to complete the quest.

This was ment to make you kill them over and over again. I know it bites but try to set a goal like kill 200 mortis priests and see how long it takes for you to reach that goal.

After you kill 200 then check and see how many you have and based on that info set a new goal.

I don't remember how much rounds i runned m2 to collect 30 frags, but bigger drop rate becomes with your damage made to priest i think.

Yes it is odd I have seen that also. More damage = better chance to see a quest drop.

It took my DK 97 rounds of HoD to get 30 dark cloth of immortality, 3 rounds for 1 cloth in average. Stunning priest or not makes no difference to me. I just notice fragment comes when my DK got additional rage from other monster's attack to deal it more smashes with critical damage.

PS. This's from my old record one year ago.

I found that is was a PRNG type drop... just like everything else in this game. There were times where I would have a great streak, and then it would dry up for a couple of days. If you want to join the debate on what "random" means, feel free to chime in here, but I'm afraid to inform all you conspiracy theorist who think damage or last hit or crits, or basic attacks vs high damage attacks, or.... you get the idea are giving BP's programmers more credit than they are due. They probably took the easiest way out and that is what gave us our inconsistent and cruddy drop rates for everything that matters to the players.

Oh are those drops annoying. LoL but i think that the 5th cloak is respectfull cause i know to struggle to get it.. What i do is use a strong DK and just go in to the map and kill the priests.. That save you a lot of time from a full run.. Good luck.. Still needs 15... grrrrrr :)
