-Bear in mind, I'm still relatively new to Drakensang Online-

I have been playing Drakensang Online for around a week and a half now and I've noticed a couple of things that would (in my opinion) make the game a little more flexible and easier to play. These suggestions are specifically for the downloaded version of the game.

I am in between computers right now and run the game on a "sub-par" system. The game runs fine, however I would love to see a little more settings available in the settings menu. Settings like "improved full screen quality" and "high quality graphics" are extremely vague. Now I'm not sure about the restrictions that the engine may or may not put on graphics options, but Options like specific game resolutions, texture resolutions, shader options, and various post processing effects would be great to turn off. that way players could run the game in the exact way that they like. The other thing that I feel would improve the game would be a menu where you can alter specific preferences, like the ability to turn off full screen on start up, or to only load less objects in the background, like background objects in a dungeon.

    Thank you for reading!

This being a 3+ year old game - and having played since the beta myself (A.K.A. the good ol' days) - I know how much the current dev team isn't really listening to suggestions. I doubt you will see programming changes like this, but good luck in getting someone to listen :D

If you are on an older system with onboard graphics, my advice is to uncheck all of the options (except maybe blood effects - those really don't seem to matter much for performance). If you are on an older system with an (older but discreet) graphics card, you can probably run improved full screen without high graphics quality. I use an older system (core2 duo) with an older graphics card and this is how I run the game (improved full screen on, high graphics off). With high graphics on I could play fine but there was some unpleasant visual jitter when moving.

    Good Luck!

Fwiw, if you're playing on a laptop on wifi, Ive gotten better results unselecting all the graphics option despite the relative quality of my laptop (i7-4700mq, 860m graphics, ac wireless, ssd, 8gb ram). I don't know why and i haven't rigorously tested this, but the run across oob and the evading of mortis priest bombs is easier.

(Now that I thought about it, Im not sure if optimus puts the game on the intel HD graphics, so if i get around to it will check this next time)

My laptop is 6 years old and I removed the A A setting for the game and can run all max except shadows and SASIO. Each video card setting are different. Choose performance is what I have seen the most.
