Not able to go into gameplay after R143 update.

So the problem i am facing right now is, after server maintenance and R143 was release, i manage to get into gameplay and played for a couple of hours, went to bed. Got up the next day, start up my laptop, signed in into www.drakensang.com and when i click PLAY NOW. The whole browser just went into "THE GAME NEEDS PERMISSION TO RUN" and screen just got stuck in there and hanged at times (No tabs were opened at that time). Sometimes after refreshing the page i get the KILL PAGE option, sometimes it loads fully (Connection is being established) but hangs once it is fully loaded.

Went into client mode, after logging in. Client hangs. I'm currently running on Java 8. Security at its minimum, anti-virus was temporarily disabled, cleared cache, cleared temp folder, restore settings on google chrome, flushed DNS.

I do not know what else i can do to get it running into gameplay screen.
Help needed here.

And, erm, does the game have permission to run in your Java settings?

 

Yes.. it does.. no problems since R139.

 

And how about clearing Java cache?

 

Cleared as per instructions from the link... but still not able to load..i dunno why.... =(
should i uninstall browser , client etc??? i'm really lost now...

 

Maybe if you try uninstalling Java and then go; C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\LocalLow\Sun and there delete everything, the whole folder. Then try installing it again.

 

try using firefox,i read some chrome doeasnt work.

 

In the past I have fixed this error when I ran chrome as administrator. To do this simply right click a shortcut to chrome and choose "run as administrator" and click done on that screen. Then you will not need to run as administrator any more just that one time to have permission to update java settings.

type this in and select java to be allowed

chrome://plugins

 

If i uninstall the whole java, will it work ??

firefox logged me in, but hangs when i change map... same goes for internet explorer...

 

Did you put a check mark to allow always java?

if this doesn't help ... uninstall Java and then go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\Sun and delete the Java folder.
Then install Java again.
Note: when doing this your browsers must be closed.
After installing Java run the game with your browser and select "Always allow on this site" when the popup ask you.

 

I think Java is build into chrome. I will test when I get home.

I have found places where that is stated around the web. Chrome updates java separately from the NPAPI driver.

I was able to reproduce your error on one of my machines and i fixed it.

Chrome version was
Version 40.0.2214.93 m
And when i got the error you had I then went to another machine to check version and test that one also.

The one i got the error message i have no permissions to upgrade chrome since it was not a machine i owned but was fixing and needed the admin password.


When I got back to the system to turn it off i found a message that popped up. It asked to run the plug-in BigPoint GmbH. Once i clicked on it to run the game worked.

I am now researching how to fix that error if it does not come up. It did take at least 3 mins to pop up on that system.


Ok found the fix

edit your chrome short cut and put this....

C:\...\chrome.exe --always-authorize-plugins

This will let all plugins run.

 

Thank you MegaNuker as well as everyone who have helped me in this thread. I have called my ISP and was informed that there was a problem with the undersea cable that connects to Europe. It will take sometime to finish repair works. So at the moment i am only able to try going into DSO gameplay by luck.
