Which of these Pauldrons is better for PVE?

    I am a level 45 Spellweaver playing PVE exclusively. Which of these two Legendary Pauldrons is better for PVE? They each have four slots where I place gems.

    ................Essence................Mystic
    Armor .......440.......................715
    Hitpoints....255.......................320
    Damage.....16........................ 0

    Mystic is better for keeping you alive the Essence is not very good damage for a 45 item.

    Mystic is better unless you have a complete set with excellent values on the other pieces and want the 15% damage bonus.

    Even then, the Mystic is still very good. The +damage on the essence pauldrons is pretty low, it would have been better if you had something in the 20s. At 45 I think the range is for the damage line is something like +11 to +30 so +16 is somewhat bad luck.

    Btw, what is the base armor on the pauldrons?
