    Hello,

My characters are still low levels, so I was wondering am I missing a lot by being not premium?
I know what the premium gives but I would like if someone can quantify the benefits like if I play 2 hours a day, for a month how many mystic cubes can I expect at low levels (my characters are 10-15, and DK 41 - mostly not playing these days due to seriously under-powered relative to other players :()

From what I've seen, those cubes won't make a tremendous difference. YouTube has enough videos showing people open Mystic Cubes by the hundreds and mostly getting Extraordinary gear, some gems, a few Legendary items and, rarely, a Unique or two. You can get better by yourself without paying. Premium could help boost your characters, but it's not a must. You just need to farm for better gear. Of course there'll always be better people, but that's just life.

I don't think you need premium for much strongness. As of the fact that your 41 is weak so i suggest you join a good guild any try to get the full moon shield and a few legendaries from sigri hard and you can also simultaneously start doing Q's.This will help you a lot, believe me.

I normally get premium only if there's going to be a long seasonal event just to save time going places or wasting andermant resurrecting on the same map. At level 41, if you were to get the premium account, it's better to save the cubes and let it accumulate until you're level-capped and then open them all at once. And if devs are talking about raising the level cap to 50, I'd probably suggest holding off from opening cubes until it's official (in case you get a really nice high end legendary or the lost uniques) since it's less painful than spending glyphs to upgrade a lower level item with epic-like stats.

So is this mean that I am living in the game compere to others? Cubes are very rare to get drop if you keep farming the same map all the time btw, unfortunatelly I have to complain about it.

    What do you mean?
Do you mean that if I want to get better drops I have to alternate between maps instead of staying on the same map?

Well I don`t know. I haven`t wrote this game. I have a year premium, I`ve getting cube boxes frequently, but I always just get those things what I can earn by looting anyway, maybe I`ve got once legendary eqp but no uniqe, most of the time gems and extraordinary eqp that you can find in it. Also that is my experiance that if I keep farming the same map It`s become more rare to find boxes at all. If you farm bosses it`s like you getting boxes. :D Only benefits of premium that you can free travel and free respawn on map.

Best places for premium boxes is PW's and event maps like the moon events. Maybe anecdotal, but I also seem to get them more frequently on higher level toons. Repetition of other maps has not effected my drop rate, although the dungeon level has a severe impact on drop rate. Any mob below your current level(even 1 level) reduces drops significantly the further down it goes up to 5 levels. I have not seen any cube from a mob more than 5 levels down.

Only players lvl 40+ can get uni items from this cube. For lower lvls loot of them is BLOCKED.

Thanks for all the information. This is very good details. Food for thought. Even if they are just speculations or guesses :)

Well, they do only drop from worthy monster, no?
Are they really? The uniques you can get from cubes are all lv45, so why would they be limited to only 40+ if they're not limited to lv45s only :p ?

That is the normal mechanic for the game, but you will see very very few even 4, 3, or 2 levels below you.

    1. yes. green, yellow, red, orange monsters.
    2. I don't know why. It is officialy answer from team, when player from my country asked about it on forum. It is a pity that low lvls are not warring about it before they buy premium account. For me it is against the consumer's law.

Really? Appaling ! Well, that's just striping them off of one of the benefits. Not that cube-uniques are all that easily dropped, but still. They should, at least, put a warning, as you said, if it's like that.

Yes it is. And my friend sent a official request at forum about fix it and put disclaimer in shop with premium and in terms of this options. But who knows, maybe team of my forum told to her lie that they referred it to theirs bosses and to BP? B/c so far we have not a answer and have not a disclaimer when buying premium.
It will be nice if Greg and Tarlok make a stand on this hiding of informations and hoodwinking of users.
If you want ask about it Greg and yours moderators. I'm wonder what they answer heh.

Ok let me answer a few question I see I can answer.

Cubes drop from all monsters no matter if they are worthless or worthy. I have gotten drop from a level 6 mob pvping with my level 40. Granted it is extremely rare. The unique drop that are level 45 are normal mechanics of the game. + and - 5 levels.

Why tie up your inventory forever with stuff your not going to use for a very long time.

Well, that's just what I heard: that they only drop from worthy monsters, but it's not bad if they can come from others as well (not that one'd spend too much time on worthless maps). And to answer that last part of your post: because if someone gets, say, the weapon from the Lost set, he/she'd want to hold on to it, even if it'll be long until it'll be used, just because the said item is rare & good (well, at least the SW Lost wand is... only inferior by 2 DPS to the Destructor wand in terms of unique wands... yeah, the latter also has 400 Critical Rate, yet the former has Teleportation cooldown). When I first got into Atlantis, I got 3/5 of the Treasures of the Deep set and, at the cost of temporarily occupying 3 of my inventory slots, I kept them used them upon hitting lv40. I'm almost lv42 and I still do :D (LOL, and still haven't managed to get the remaining 2). Of course it wouldn't be exactly wise to fill too many spaces with yet unusable items. Basically, it is OK if the item(s) is/are really worth it.

    Two things:
    1. Drops in maps cycle. They change as the minions change, they change as the spawn sites change, they change over time. The overall value of the entire map will change over time, just to provide variety and reduce boredom. But the total sell value or melt value is fairly consistent.
Uniques or legendary drops do have a relatively huge effect on the values you get out of a map. Generally, the higher the level of the map, the more you can take home with you.
If a map really sucks, there is probably a hot map somewhere else. You can wait the cycle out, or you can move on.

    2. Some people believe there is an "addiction inhibitor" built into the game. The longer you play, the less you get. It discourages obsessive play and long sessions. Play gets progressively worse in hours 2-5. You can reset it by logging out.
A break every 2 or so hours will give your body a chance to freshen up and improve performance on many levels. Stretching you legs can do you good.

    Good Hunting!

Well the cube is treated like every other thing in DSO. The cube is based on your level. If you want the unique for 45 save all cubes till you 40 and open them. That is your choice of when to open them. If inventory slots matter not to you as you say then simply hold out opening them.
