which set to go for

hi i have been looking at the differant types of sets u can get and i cant find anywhere which is the best to go for nowadays

i know theres differant ones thats better for differant charactors but what is the ones to go for nowadays im abit lost on them

 

That depends on how much effort do you want to put in. If you want to take it easy then do the moon events for those sets.

If you want to be strong then you need more than just a unique set. All sets have weaknesses you need to balance with leg items in other slots.

 

Best to start with realising what playstyle you're comfortable with, then check out the DSO wiki to see all the available end-game unique sets. Pick one (or two if they integrate) that would be ideal to you, then establish a method of achieving it.
From that point on, it's a combination of luck and persistence with regards to your farming.

P.s. It'd be wise to have alternate goals you can attempt simultaneously. Farming for weeks or months with one thing in mind and not getting it will be really disheartening and discouraging.

 

lewcar is right. Knowing your character class is not enough to give you a recommendation. Your play style will be huge factor.

 

My friends are right on with this one. My suggestion: there are basically two types of uniques. Those you can actively pursue through events like the moon, and Dragan sets. For these you should pursue EVERY set and unique you can farm while those events are active. Push hard during events to get everything even if you don't think you want it. The Dragonache set from Gnob falls into this category although it will take multiple events. You may change your set-up later as you find nice legendaries and wish you had a particular item that came from a past event so push farm push farm and get them all.

The second type of uniques are the passive uniques, the ones you will only get as a random world drop while you farm areas they drop in. Sets like the Atlantis set, Roshan's/Keen/Yach's set, and the King's set although this one will now be in both categories. Those uniques only come with luck and time which you can increase by farming repeatedly in the right locations. I include in this category the drops that come only from bosses like Mortis and Khaly.

Bottom line: in addition to the great advice above, you asked which ones you should pursue and the answer is all of them.
