What's the best way to do them, if I want to do them alone, without spending so much money?

Like how do people even have 1500-4000 damage

How do you get 1000-4000 damage, in any class?

A really nice weapon (Nice % weapon damage and damage lines), gems, and a damage boosting set (Dragan's, Essence set, Witch Chaser, Etc.).

    Damage lines?
How can someone even have that much damage?

    --MERGED--

Also are we supposed to be able to damage monsters with 100% of our base damage? because I only seem to be doing about 40-60% of my base damage and it's taking forever to kill them.

Like how are we even supposed to be able to kill level 40 boss monsters (like gorga, Tegan) alone while at level 40?

For DKs, you get crazy damage by having 5 +20 or better ruby gems in a 2h weapon that has 2x or 3x weapon damage% lines (each line can add up to 80%) and 2x or 1x +damage (each line going up to about +90 damage), which is going to give you a lot of damage. Throw in things like dragonache set (+165 damage over 3 pieces) or black warlord (30% weapon damage bonus) or red essence set (+121 plus 15% damage bonus) as well as individual pieces such as legendaries with all damage lines or uniques such as helmet of death or rings of death (up to +57 damage) and you can get incredibly high damage lines for pve.

And of course, you can have get glyphs to raise your equipment levels to 50 and that will increase some of these damage modifiers.

Monsters have armor as well, which decreases the damage you do.

(Corrected warlord 2H bonus to 30%)

Okay, but that only gets up to about 1000 or so damage at max, not 1000++

Monsters have armor? Why haven't I heard of this? What's the point in that if there's no information on it? IE How much you damage it?

You get 1% more damage for each level you have on the Ancient Knowledge Tree. That means up to another 30% damage.

So how are people able to take on the parallel world monsters/higher bosses alone?

It might be normal to see 1300 damage once in a while, but to get it would be pretty rare.

My 1H can do map2 and the first couple of parallels solo but I'll much rather do them in a group to get through the map faster.

Madok, the grimm parallel boss, is stunnable and armor breakable, so you pull him away and defeat him solo. I forget about the boss in parallel grotto, I think that one is stunnable too. Parallel heredur can be soloed by going around him in a circle and striking him from behind but this takes time and skill, and you should clear the map around him 1st, but i have not done this.

Here is my set up and it is about the norm for an end game 2H DK. You can see that the sword has over 100% weapon damage on it which doubles the +41 damage line. It also doubles the 95 damage worth of gems I have on it. It also doubles the weapon's base stats. Then I have the Dragonache set which has 125 damage as a set bonus and 44 damage on one of it's rings, the Keen's set has a bonus of 25 damage, the Red essence torso which has another 31 damage (all unaffected by the 100% weapon damage). Then the Black Warlord set gives 30% damage because I use a 2H weapon, and the ancient knowledge accounts for 30% more damage.

As you can see, the damage and % damage adds up quick when it is the goal. The rest of the stats are just incidental due to the sets I use.

So what does your damage come to with all that?

Alright, how do people have 1000+ damage without extraordinary/leg items? That's my main question.
Dmg gems only go up to +31 and are expensive as hell both ways. It's not likely that 80% of people are buying that much, or the game wouldn't have so many problems. Especially if they're also getting 2-5k in gems for armor.

I'm not sure how they would without those items and I think the vast majority of level 30 and up players actually have various combinations of unique, legendary and in some cases extraordinary items.

My 1H DK only uses unique and legendary items and has an average base damage of about 870 (930 with green essence).

My 1H SM has mostly unique and legendaries, with one extraordinary item and i think his base damage is around 680 or so (maybe 740 with green ess).

Btw, if we are talking pvp damage, keep in mind that each level on the pvp tree also increases your damage 1% to other players and reduces your damage taken by 1% from other players.

Well I'm mostly talking about -40 level players defeating gorga and whatever else alone

Gorga is easy. So is hard Sigrismar and hard Herald of the Anderworld. They are all LVL 40 bosses, so with 1k damage in a 2h build it is simple enough. In response to doing this without Exos and Legendaries (or uniques), I don't think it is possible. I would need a screen shot to convince me otherwise.

More than a thousand damage only with improved/magic gear? I don't think so. Where did you even pull this from, LOL? Bear in mind that you cannot know the left-side of one's equipment, even if you can view what one's wearing on the right side.
On Hard, you shouldn't even bother unless you're at least lv40, or so it generally is. On regular difficulty, I find all bosses solo-able. I'm lv41 and have no problem defeating any boss (again, not on Hard), with the exception of Gorga (haven't even tried doing this one solo, to be honest...) and the others I haven't yet got to (Mortis & Destructor - though I doubt these 2 are or should be solo-able).

"Doubt...Should be," you are right... Mortis and Destructor shouldn't be. However, if anyone can solo those two, it is the DK class. I speak from experience. I have done Destructor with greens. Took a bunch of potions and about 30-40 min, but it can be done. Mortis took purples for me (still trying to get my crit damage high enough to do him with blues, but you can find plenty of vids of this on YouTube), and no potions, And Khalys (PW) I've done with purples/no pots and blues with 4 pots. If you want a class that can do solo play best, it is the DK without doubt.

P.S. All those bosses were done without LVL 40 fame.

Forgot about mentioning PW bosses: haven't reached those either (though it was kind of implicitly said by the mention of Mortis). What about fame, I have it only at lv11, as I don't fancy PvP that much. Conclusion: I have a very easy time believing you 100%. Congratulations on those feats! I've also seen videos of people defeating Mortis/Destructor solo, and most often they were DKs. Though a particular one, think it was a Ranger versing Destructor alone, used a total of 100 potions during the fight, it took him/her 1 hour in real-time play, and he/she burned up a lot of essences... so there's no doubt about how tough end-game bosses are.

:p You Must Farm Glyphs To Upgrade Your Items That Contain Damage + / %
And Farm Some Gems At Crypt Of Kings ( That's The Best Place To Get Them )
 Also If You Have Some Unique Items From Events That Gives You Extra % Damage By Wearing The Full Set ..
:D That Will Be So Great !
