Where do I find a wand like this ????????

While searching through youtube, I stumbled across this wand... It hasn't even been upgraded yet with massive damage.

Granted it's not the fastest at 1,00 but I want one.......

 

Farm HoD and hope you get lucky? It seems to be good but not great.

I don't know the stat ranges for sw 1H, but my DK has a sword with a higher DPS, despite having worse gems (5 +15 dam gems)

 

I've been using this since r113, still haven't found anything better.

The weapon you presented it's not that great. Furthemore, I am curious whether its owner only had 4 red crystals, but I would not stick blue crystals into my weapon. The +% damage on the weapon enchantments amplifies red crystal damage. The blues that are anywhere (even adornment) are amplified by the weapon's basic speed. So having 32% amplification from blue crystals, for a 1.00 you get a 0.32 bonus from them, for a 1.20 weapon you get an approximate 0.38 bonus. The difference between the two may seem like a tiny 6% but it does matter! (Karabossa set is highly coveted for its speed and it gives +11% speed)

I am still using a good Duria wand that gives damage only. That can lead to a great disadvantage in attack speed, which within certain thresholds increases your weapon damage big time (keep in mind that while attack speed does not lead to more lightning strikes for example, you can launch magic missiles faster to replenish your mana, leading therefore to more often lightning strikes actually).
The advantage of the wand is of course raw damage, in spite of being only extraordinary and having only one +%. Why I like the raw +damage stats is because they scale with leveling up the weapon as well. It's again all about the balance. Ideal would be 2x% damage, 2x% speed.

Now I got another weapon (to the right) I crafted from other good extraordinaries dropped in m2. Not sure how the crafting system works, but it gave me one very good result and remember, this was my first attempt. I only picked Myrdosch Mystic Rods with +damage, +% damage and +speed. I cannot wait to reach level 45 to put it on, since it will further boost my blue crystals speed.

I am curious whether this is better than End of Time (even though it has only 1.14 instead of 1.20). Opinions?

 

I've been playing about 1 year now, and this is the best wand I've found to date... So compared to my best, the one I originally placed in this thread is a vast improvement over what I have found.. Since 139 came out I haven't even found something close to the crappy wand I have now let alone a monster wand... Since they have for all intents and purposes taken away crafting, lowered stats on drops, and absolutely refuse to introduce some new and exciting gear, I guess I won't be holding my breath for a truly monster wand...

A player on my server has one with ~100% dmg and 35 dmg :s

I've heard from 2 others on Tegan that have wands with over 500 dmg (with enchantments) before adding gems.. They didn't say how many years of mind numbing grinding they had to do to find it.

I've realized that I have better odds of seeing Bigfoot than I do in finding a wand with this kind of dmg.

 

Found this wand quite a while ago. Though I'd prefer a speed line, couple IWDs, and one straight dmg. At 45, it's 228-253 (roughly 241 DPS).
