Don't do the chop chop quest; I would only do it at the end after completing all the event and mini challenges if you somehow have a ton of pickaxea and want to convert them into something useful.

The impure viscanium drops are hard to see and slow to materialize. How about another color in this map?

You don't get get the title for the first mini event. You get the title for completing all three of the mini event.

Am I missing something here, if not I have a big complaint about the Dark Dwarf Heist Event. You made the first challenge in this event too hard. I'm not a weak player nor am I the strongest. I do kill the monsters relatively fast though. It still takes me at least 30 minutes to clear the first map. To get to the second map you have to kill the bosses in the first map 3 times each. To clear the second map it takes over 30 minutes and it takes approximately 10 runs in the second map to complete the challenge, and that is only if you get 80 viscanium drops a run. That would be at least 30 runs in first map and 10 runs in second map at 30 minutes a run. That would be at least 20 hours(if I did the math right) to complete the challenge if you were strong enough to do both maps in 30 minutes. With group it can be shorter or longer, depending on the group and group levels.

Ok so if this is what you want us to do how do you expect the people that work, kids who go to school, parents who have to take care of kids, or anyone who has anything outside this game to complete the first challenge? I work a 12 hour shift and I am sure I am not the only one. As soon as I got off of work today and logged into the game, I only had a day and 6 hours to do this challenge. I find out how impossible it is, seeing as I have to eat, sleep, and groom before I have to be back to work in 10 hours. That is what it would take to do the first half of the challenge, then I go to work for 12 hours and come back, I'll only have 6 hours to finish even though I will need 10 hours to complete the second half of the challenge.

The first challenge in this event is way harder then last challenge in the dragan event. If each challenge is harder then the last, how is it possible for anyone to complete this event without dropping a boat load of money? This event seems like it is geared towards the people who spend the most amount of money. Which doesn't make sense for those who do spend money because they will need to have a job to pay for the extras to be that strong.

Im sorry if I did my math wrong or have the worst way of doing the event. I would appreciate it if you told me so and correct me where I am wrong. And if I am doing the math and event right I would love it if you would extend the event if possible not only for me but for others who work hard in this game and are still unable to get anywhere with the challenges.

I'll share the most efficient was I've found to do this event/mini events for those who don't see how there is time to do the event and challenges.

If you're working on the main progress, then obviously, the fastest way is full clears of the main map. You can use the geode map alone came up with for the past versions of this event. Look for "Viscanium Geodes: Purified Viscanium or Minion?" To make the best use of your pick axes.

For mini event preparation and execution, the fastest way is to only do the three bosses and check for Jullov and kill any gnomes that get in the way for pick axes. Also, you will want to use the above map to find 4 minions to get the 200 impures you will need to get back into the map. For a little bit of extra benefits, you can also work on the 30 Longhelms quest. Doing that, you get 5 extra pick axes/a map/some impure to help every 3-4 runs. Done this way, it takes about 10-12 min do l to do the main map and leaves you with a positive influx of pick axes (you get more than you use). Then, after you complete the challenge, you can use the surplus pick axes to speed farm pures.

A couple of other tips, always keep one spare map in case you disconnect. Also, do the boss/Jullov farming routine every time you are in your way to the challenge map as that (along with the 20 you get in the challenge map) will help offset your entry costs.

I hope this helps some of you... I am a firm believer of "Work smarter, not harder," and I think that this process is probably the most efficient way to do this. Others are welcome to offer their insights and improve upon this or give their own methods.

As others have said, the time this event requires leaves very little for the real world. I consider myself to be about an average 45 and it takes me about an hour to clear both maps. Ten hours or so for the mini challenge plus the pre-farming is just more "fun" than I want, and I think a lot of players share the same sentiment. My suggestion would be for the devs to try and complete these events in their free time (like normal players, no reds), just to have a taste of what they're dishing out.

I honestly wonder if the dev's create a character from scratch and play the game like the rest of the players. The feedback from this event is essentially the same as every other event and most of the updates for that matter.

    1. Too much grind.
    2. Too much effort.
    3. Very little reward.
    4. Subpar drops to enhance characters.
    5. Nothing new or exciting to keep players engaged.

Honestly this event isn't much different than farming fairy wood. Tons of time running the same map over and over again and leaving basically the same as you went in, bored out of your mind.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why everyone plays HOD all the the time, it is the single map in this game where the rewards somewhat equal the effort of play time.

Honestly it feels like the dev's sit around dreaming of new ways to add more mind numbing grind to this game....

Those contraption burners drops is simply too pathetic, x2 or x5 is really way too low.
You expect people doesn't need to work and buy anders and play your game 24/7 is just amusing.
Make the drops better x10 or even x15 per boss, if those drops is x2 or x5 per boss so how many runs is needed in viscanium mine to get 100 burners just enter dungeon or maybe you should consider lowering the cost of those burners entering the dungeon.
We need to work or study too.

OK, I'm sick and tired of people complaining "Not enough time." Time to break it down!
The time calculations later on will be based on an assumption of 20 min for the normal map and 30 for the challenge map. Using my strategy above, that is a generous amount of time.

First, How many burners can you get a run:
The first boss can drop either 2 or 7. The second one can drop 5 or 10. The third one can drop 10 or 30. This means a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 47. Personally, I find the rate of getting the nicer ones is about 30% so I average about 25-35 a run. That means 3-4 runs of the normal map to enter the challenge map... not too bad.

Second, How many runs do you need to do to get the burners you need:
You need about 10 runs of the challenge map to complete it. Considering there is 20 burners per run in the challenge map , you only really 820 (1000-9(20)=820, The 9 accounts for the runs that will assist you towards future runs. The 10th will count towards challenge 2's needs.) from the normal map. Given that you will do 10 of those runs before entering the challenge map (you would be crazy not to hit the 3 bosses if you are already spending a normal map to get in anyway), that really means that you need about 500-600 before you start running the challenge. Assuming 600, that can be done in 20 runs of the normal map. So, in total, we have 20 normal+10 normal+10 challenge.

Third, How long does this take:
You had 24 hours to work on this the 20 normal runs before the challenge even began. And those 20 runs would take a total of 6:40. Sure, that is a lot for one day, but lets keep going. Then there is the two days of the challenge itself. In those 48 hours, you need 8:20. So, total, with accounting for bad luck and slow map clearing, you need about 15 hours to complete the challenge over the course of three days. That is 5 hours of farming a day for 3 days. That is a lot, but not impossible.

    Conclusion:
It is called a "Challenge" not a "Free stuff for everyone." Personally, I am satisfied with this event. It is one of the first ones in a while that has enough grind to it that players are not likely to finish it on all four of their toons. Sure, the rewards could be better for the main event, but the gems/golden clover are really the star of this event. Using my strategy for speed farming this event and and going a little faster than the average I gave above, I actually finished the mini event 6:30 after the challenge went live having farmed enough the day prior. In the end, if I have to chose between farming Map2 for glyphs or this for the gems, I'll take the gems. Where else can you farm 360K andermant worth of stuff in 11 days (treating each gem as a sacred weapon gem bought on gem sale prices, not counting the other rewards)?

Did I ever mention it free stuff for everyone in the first place, if you personally find its satisfied for you doesnt mean that the event challenge is satisfied for everyone.
Of course it doesnt mean mean that the event isn't good either, and are you guarantee 100% sure that 2nd boss drop 5-10 burners and the 3rd boss drops 10-30.
Or mine is bugged and it keeps dropping 2-5 burners, or the drops is random.
Oh maybe every event for you is satisfied for you coz you seems to have loads of time to burn, unlike me got to work about 13 hrs to meet my job criteria and by the time i reach home im already too tired to farm besides on weekends.

It is simple. You are wrong. Show me a screen shot of the third boss dropping anything other than a 10 or a 30. I'm sure that my magic request will magically change your luck and you'll see one or the other.

    I'm ambivalent about this event.

I like the unique gem rewards, and the clover that'll be coming in challenge 3. Getting achievements for rewards is also pretty cool.

What I don't like however are how the challenges are currently structured. I suspect that the latter is the major cause of grief for many players. I accept that a challenge should be challenging, but I feel it should be a game-related challenge, rather than a real-life challenge. What I mean is that the current time limits on the mini events are stressing me (and a bunch of other players I know who want the rewards) out. People juggling work, school, or travel may go more than just a few days without internet. The current structure is not friendly to those with obligations elsewhere. I know I'm going berserk farming for both map entries to normal and burners to be able to beeline into the challenge map, and cram runs into a few hours of snatched wifi when I'm on the road during challenge 3.

Perhaps in the future, 'challenge' type events could actually last longer. As well, I would frankly prefer it if challenges were done on an 'unlock' feature. Finish x amount of progress of normal event and unlock challenge 1. Finish challenge 1 and unlock challenge 2. And so on. This allows folks to work on the entire challenge within the entirety of the event rather than some limited 2-3 day window.

Excellent work on making it so rewards for each challenge is independent of the other, however. I know a bunch of people who missed one challenge during Dragan and completely lost motivation to carry on since they couldn't craft the chests together.

I hear you on the demands of life. Starting 1 June, I have a real life thing happening that will take me away from the internet (as in "almost total black out") for 5 days straight. If this event had been offset by a week into the future, I'd have missed part 2/3. In fact, I was rather nervous about that leading up to the day they announced the event. But, if that had been the case, I'd have been a big boy and said "Darn it, Real life bites sometimes," and moved on. We have to play the hand we're dealt. I like the idea of progress unlocking the challenges. Then, if the worst had happened and I'd have missed out on 5/11 days of the event, I'd have been able to farm like a mad man on the other 6 days and made it work anyway.

If you don't have time, you need high stats to complete the challenges. If your char is too weak, you'll have to grow for the next event and hope to be fast enough. With my stats and blue ess. for the three bosses i can farm the first map in 7/8 min (i skip the right side of the map, nothing interesting there):

I used blue ess for the whole challenge map, i think i needed something like 10-15 min but i can't remember.

As a general advice, if i'm intertested in the rewards i usually stock some blue essences before the event starts, they can halve your timings.

Btw i really like the rewards, those new gems can save me a lot of ander/farm. I think i'll use them to craft 3 sacred rubies, waiting for the royals will take too much, and I hope we'll see those kind of gems again in the future :)

The idea is good but people will be at different stages, some will finish the 3 mini events really quickly others could take very long just to complete the first one. In addition it will be harder to find groups for the mini events due to people being at different stages.
