Mentor Bonus broken in pvp

Hello,

I have a lvl 45 SW with lvl 32 in fame tree and 17k honor points and a lvl 36 DK with lvl 30 in fame tree and 50k honor points, they both have lvl 30 in knowledge tree but for some reason the SW has the mentor bonus.I have read the guide for mentor bonus and according to it my DK should have it.

Can someone explain why my SW has it ?

 

Your SW has 93K badges of honor and your DK has 102K badges of honor.
In this case your SW has less badges of honor ... thus it gets the PVP mentor bonus.
As for knowledge tree they both have level 30 ... but what amount of books? Even 1 book of knowledge makes a difference.
Both mentor bonuses are working independently ... meaning your character can have them both or only one of them depending on the amount of books/badges.

 

Ok my SW has 173 and my DK has 293 books but as for the fame tree please explain how did you come up with 93K for SW and 102K for DK, if its from the total badges of honor required to get there plus the current honor it does not add up.

It is total badges of honor that your characters have.
If your SW is level 32 that means he has 76K + 17K unused badges of honor which is 93K badges of honor
If your DK is level 30 that means he has 52K + 50K unused badges of honor which is 102K badges of honor.

 

K i tried what you said and now i have 27k on SW witch means 103k which is biger than DK and it still didnt change.Why is that?

 

Did you log out/switch toons? Also, 102K and 103K are really close. Are you giving us rounded numbers? For example, we know that the 52k and 76k are exact, but is the "50K" 49679 or 50328? And same question about the SW. These numbers need to be exact, not rounded up or down.

 

K so i did log out/switch and on SW i have 32194 + 76k = 108194 and on DK i have 56349 + 52k = 108349 and it did change even though the SW still has less.Anyway thanks for the help and sorry that i said the DK had 50K when he actually had 56k.

I noticed something strange, aftare i did a few arenas on the SW and DK with mentor switch i reach lvl 31 fame on DK which means 63k and i thought since on SW i have 115k that the bonus would remain on DK until i exceed that value but it still changes after i make 1k on him.Can you explain why?

 

Do this and it will help.

Hit C and click on the swords. This will tell you your total Honor that you have earned. You do not have to spend badges of honor only on fame level so only looking at fame might be your down fall.

Here is the method I use...
I add all my toons to the buddy list. I then hit L and filter to show only friends. At this point all 4 of your toons should be in the list. The one at the top does not get the mentor bonus.

 

Thank you very much for the help.I added my other characters to my friend list and when i press L with show only friend at total honor points i can see which one has mentor bonus and I understand why.

 

I have 2 toons. With which I alternate (try to)the mentor bonus to get my main the max I can. Problem is, it won't switch toon. I know I have more knowledge on my main, so my alt should get the mentor bonus. Why doesn't it switch over ?

It's random, sometime I will get it, sometime it takes a while, and sometimes I need to competely log out and even then it won't switch. Why is this happening ?

 

I find that I have to load the toon with the higher Knowledge twice before the second one shows up as getting the Mentor bonus. I've tried just waiting a while and that doesn't work. So load the toon with more knowledge, switch characters, go to another one, switch characters and go back to the higher level toon. Switch one more time and the lower level should have the bonus.
