? ... Why should we even worry about the end of time weaponry?

I have worked towards the end of time axe for my DK for months and still need the death rattle ( of course) and seeing how I am and have been a level 45 player for some months now, I do not see the reasoning as to why someone would even worry about the end of time weapon, other than melting fodder for the glyphs ... The weapon is weak, offers basically no high level stats what so ever and takes entirely to long to achieve. If my cyphering is correct then the weapon that I have now is much better than the end of time weapon would be even if the axe were upgraded 4 or 5 levels and the weapon I am using now is honestly not that good either doing but it has much better stats than the axe does and upgrades for ALOT less. Just another non-sensical flaw in the game design ... It is like 8 year olds created the game and it took off and no one ever thought to revise the stats as other weaponry which had better stats was added to the game.

In mention is the weapon we are supposed to use in the Parallel world to try and defeat Mortis.. so why is it so weak by all standards ... Is it not time to address this fault of the game?

 

Probably because they used to be top-tier back in the day. Now, indeed, you can easily find a weapon with more speed and damage. Still, they're ones of the best unique weapons in terms of speed (plus a guaranteed 4 open gem slots... most likely one of the biggest reasons they're not yet completely obsolete), and I do see quite a few people using them, though not that many. I'd say that, nowadays, the EoT weapons are more of a trophy than they are usable items. There is a new and old Ammon set, same for the Life/Death rings, so they could have also applied the treatment to the weapons...

To end it on a hopeful note, though, they are planning of tweaking the PWs with the coming LV expansion, as you may know, so maybe something'll be done then (and God would we like it if they also upped the drop rates by even a tad bit).

 

the biggest joke is sargon long bow and it 10% slower and its already long bow....enemy kill u and u still trying to shoot the first shot

 

EOT weapons are level 40 standard ... because they were introduced in the time when the cap level was level 40.
BTW the old weapons are better than those new ... but you can't get them anymore.

 

Or the Vargulf weapons... 57-86 damage for a lv45 SW wand? Really?

Wait a sec, I'm dumb... there is an old version of the EoT weapons. Nevermind, but they still need a boost.

That 10% travel speed would be nice in flag runners in 5v5...

I melted my axe as soon as I got it and will probably melt the shotgun when my dwarf gets it.
