Shady

im lvl 42 dwarf and i cannot see any offers of shady weapon or armor...whys that?

 

I don't think its been around for a while.

 

I can see the offer in events section but none of my toons can see the items at shady john

 

It's just a bit tricky to see him, in kingshill there are 2 shady jones, one selling event items and the other selling those bad uniques.
Just look the opposite way of the shady john selling event progress and u will see the other one

 

Oh, didn't realize he came in with the event. Interesting, will have to check in out

Ok, so I just checked it out with my DK and my SM. For DK's, 5 items being offered for sale (Shady versions of Heredur's Buckler, Spider-leg Axe, Tegan's Suit of Armor, Gorga Scale and Cloaked Wrath). for SM, there is nothing available.

I imagine that SW and Rangers have the corresponding shady versions.

This actually is lame for SM, because 2 of the items would probably be useful as shady versions (assuming you are willing to spend the anders). Shady Agrasha's Splendid Hauberk and Shady Avenger would be useful for a SM using Warlord/Sparks/Dragonache (with crit ammo) since it would give useful steam.

The shady versions seem to have 90% the value of the original, so I think Shady Hauberk would be +360 armor, +9 steam, and regenerate 0.45 steam per second and the Shady Avenger should be +54 damage and +36 steam. Someone stocking up on these would have +45 steam, really nice for a 5v5 dwarf as it allows you to lay down a machine gun on the defending flag sitter and still have steam left for Iron Armor flag running after they vacate the flag or die.

 

When the last time Shady Dude was selling shady items there was no SM class ... so they just released the old event without adding items for the midgets.

 

Is Shady gear for 40+?

 

No.

 

don't waste anders on any of that crap item. you will soon regret all money spend for that. just imagine how many dmg stones can you buy for 200k andermants.
