I'm looking for a higher level member guild that is a little more active in PVE especially in the parallel worlds and with the big bosses.

I know that these maps (outside of HOD) can be quite boring or quite hard (bosses) and the drops leave plenty to be desired, but I'm kind of stuck with doing them if I wish to continue with the progress of my character and open up new areas (I just opened Grotto).

I'm not quite strong or fast enough to be of any use in pvp yet, and I need the assistance of a good active guild to help me clear the maps faster and farm the bosses for those missing pieces in my gear.

I play a lot, I'm west coast so I play mostly between 8am-9pm or by cest times mostly between 5pm and 6am. Weekends are a little less (I play while at work) :D

    Thanks.

While it's not my place to be recruiting guild-wise as I'm no longer an officer, I can offer you a few runs of cata whenever you get there. I can rarely be pried out of cata/hod for other places, unfortunately. :p

Edit: Changed my in-game name to Snowbunnie but didn't update my signature yet. Hah.

Thank you for offering to run with me, I do appreciate it. This kind of highlights one of the more interesting challenges in this game. In order to get to the better maps, you have to go through the boring and tedious maps which no one wants to run (understandably).

Because in this game there are no guild specific events or challenges it doesn't exactly promote organized reasons to build and make sure everyone in the guild is progressing as fast as possible.

I certainly cannot blame end gamers for not wanting to run the boring maps but it is a struggle when you are trying to reach a level to at least keep up with those who have played longer.

I do occasionally do other maps to get a break, but I actually have my reasons for not liking a lot of the other maps. My eyes hurt on maps like Grotto: I tend to get somewhat nibbled-on by the monsters that blend into the ground, which I don't appreciate.

In any case, I just developed the habit of snagging people who didn't mind doing certain maps whenever I saw them online. Then the rest of the time I just learned to solo so I could finish things at my own pace. :D

Sirsquishy, as you know Tegan is super tiny. You're going to want to leverage help by building relationships across multiple guilds. It's tricky because everyone has a 'zone' of time they play in and if you dont have good overlap, you are s.o.l. For me personally, I have to play the pre-dawn hours. I think reliance on one guild, especially Tegan, is going to be frustrating for you. Find two or three people at your level in PVE/PVP who are in Grotto PW and grow with them. By the time you get to Cave PW, you'll know their favorite pizza toppings and other TMI. Enjoy!

I'll run with anyone, no issues there. I'm just used to guilds being a little different than they are in this game, and that's part of the learning curve. I am building a nice buddies list of people I'm running with and offering to help when they can. I'm also taking some time to run some past maps to help some others get past them. Grouping on the fun maps is really easy, it's the boring ones that are very lonely maps.

I have found a guild, this thread may be closed.
