New skill system

    Will the new skillsystem result in that i dont have keep collecting acient knowledge to use my epic mount?

    Yes, Greg told it on the today's Twitch session - the same goes for cloaks and other things like that.

    Collect it, other things will be included in the tree. It will also gain few levels since it's updated to level 50.

    keep collecting wisdom. new wisdom skills go to level 50. more is better.

    You will only have 50 Wisdom Points, you know that?
    So i dont know, you can collect them, but for the Level 50 Extension its useless

    I have doubts about new skill system. For example
    Hunting arrow:
    1.Arrow will pierce through first target
    2.Arrow will slow down enemies
    3.Arrow will generate concentration(or like that)

    If i have to choose any one of them i would have been lost some skills currently i have.

    2 talent points to mark
    3 talent points to slow
    5 talent points to generate concentration

    2 + 3 + 5 = 10 talents to slow mark and generate concentration.

    one thing interisting me about this new system and I did not get clear answer about it, that is about passive talent ,after I show the talent experience for ranger on twitch ,they only shown talent tree related with skill ,so no short or longbow veteran, so my question is what happen with all this passive talent , like short and long bow veteran for ranger , nimble feet ,inviolable ,lucky charm ,full steam ahead for dwarf or passive talent dk for 2hd or block rate ,

    Since the knowledge level goes to 50 now they had to move some of the talents to the knowledge side. If I am not mistaken there could be just a straight 25% bonus that is ranger only. The nimble feet and lucky charm should be on there also. For the Dragon Knight I think the 2 hand was there and the block rate was part of one of the other active skills that shared the same level but not 100% on that.

    Twitch gave us the impression that old special skills from the xp and wisdom tree would become standard skills and talents for all members of each class. The new trees will allow players to distribute points where they will, for as many points as they have.
    Maybe the Twitch post will follow-up, and give us more details.

    The skills are on the knoweth tree seem more defensive. But I did see the pick for the quick missiles mana recharge there.

    It is clear that they don't have a slightest clue what they are doing.

    i paused and translated mages all options which is quickly flashed on twitch and it seems that mages attack/damage is going down.. very badly :( and i think that so will go all the other classes because otherwise this doenst make no sense :(
    im not sure thought is it good or bad thing because now characters have too much power vs defensive. pvp probably will be more balanced i think but pve is going to be a lot harder with the new system unless bp will adjust difficulty for example in parallel worlds..

    The only thing I found interesting is the attack speed... we'll be able to increment our attack speed much more precisely with these skills allowing us to tune our attack speed to breakpoints. Imagine you are 4% away from your next break point. You'd be able to upgrade your speed 3x1.6, gain 4.8% attack speed, and then use the rest of your points somewhere else.

    as long I see from the last twitch what i can understad form my basic germany skill ;), the knowledge talent only contain 4 passive talents for specific class , in that twitch I saw for SW,they get 2HD weapon master (50% more dmg but reduce 10% attack speed requires 15 points (level 15), increase blockrate 50% but reduce run speed 5% requires 10 points( level 15),increase mana 25% and mana regen req 10 point , the last cyaniteshield with coold down 60 sec req 15 points and for the other four on top only contain something give us like bonus statt ,attackspeed 1,6% per point , healthpoint 2%,damage 2%,and run speed 1% for 25 point max per statt , so I guess for rest of class for passive talent will be something similiar with that ,

    note : in last twitch they shown some of fame talent tree too ,that one I believe more interisting especially in the last four talent , I can see final supernova still 1k % dmg but radius 10m ( but req only level 25 fame lol :eek: ,2nd ready to fight 15% hp back , 3rd batlle frenzy, and the last is protection aura , in the moment they died ,they will create protection aura in the area and something like it can healing 10% for the team

    so this new system will bring major changes in overall , just for small example that cyaniteshield and final supernova for now only available for someone has 40 fame talent ,but with that new system a SW can has both skill ,cause for cyaniteshield only need 25 level knowledge and final supernova 25 fame ,I really hope all this new changes in skill system not bring the chaos and rage to player

    As I read this, attack speed in terms of making your Toon better is not my concern. What concerns me with attack speed is the inability of our current server infrastructure to host PVP matches when these speeds get really high. I play at the higher levels against some awesome players with insane speeds. As those speeds get higher, they absolutely have an impact on the ability of all 10 players to stay in sync. I would hope there is adequate play testing for these speeds but based on history we know there is not. The Developers don't play at the high end level. .....at least on Tegan. That tells me they are sorely out of touch and they lack the ability to leverage QA for modeling what the impact will be on game play.

    Yea i really hope that they know what they are doing. Because now it seems like there is going to be a lot of rage. if we take rage alarming example, you cannot see this anywhere in the new skill system:

    Now have you ever played pvp against mage who have over 2 attack speed and who is spamming chain lightning and you don't have chosen this skill? If not, i can say it's totally unplayable. Your character just standstill because it's stunned over and over and over again until it dies :)

    Now theres 2 things bp could do here is 1) remove the stun effect from chain lightning. I think this would nerf mages PvE too much because they would lose their main crowd control skill and that's what the mage class is all about, good crowd control.. this choice would be unfair in my opinion. 2) give determination passive for all characters which would be ok i guess, but i highly doubt that they have done that.

    It is not just PVP but PVE as well ... try playing the Atlantis maps and those Gorgons ...
