I tried to re-read a new post by the Super Forum Moderator, but the Search Forums function could not locate the member. Can you add staff to the list?

Often the function will not search, requiring more information to do a search. Are there any plans to increase the range of the search function?

While we are here, reference materials are becoming extensive, rich in information, and easy to use. Thanks.

    Hello @Darwarren ,

I believe staff members should be searchable. Please take a look at the following screenshot: forum search.png

In the box circled in red, you can input on or two keywords belonging to the thread that you are looking for. If you don't remember any, that is fine, just leave it blank.

In the search box in blue, input the name of the person posting (in this case, the staff member you are looking for). This should pull up all available posts from that person. If you want to be absolutely sure that you have the right person's name, let the drop down list load and select the person.

In the case you remember which subsection of the forum the post you're looking for belongs to, you can open that subsection. In this case, I am viewing "FAQs and Tutorials." Checkmark the little box and it'll narrow down the search to just that subsection of the forums.

There are even more advanced search functions if you hit "More," but usually I find using that search box is sufficient. Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Anyki

Like anyki said you can search only the subsections all entire forum. If you want to search the whole forum ... you must be on the main page.
I don't think it got something to do with BP (I may be wrong) ... that is XenForo's software.

I know the search box is for individual threads, TY. I can't search the entire forum, that's the burn. In the entire forum search (Search Forums), there's no response for a super forum moderator. LOL
If I knew what subsection it was in, maybe I could drill down to find it. 5 minutes turned up nothing useful.

The distinction about XenForo is a little touchy. To my way of thinking, DSO selected their contractors; the use of the software belongs to DSO in that sense, even if they did not write it. DSO should be responsible for their choices, similar to the responsibilities for the Forum content under the terms and conditions. Maybe DSO can get XenForo to fix it.

You could also find another post by them and look for their content.

In order to search for the entire forum you must be on the main page

I have made one search using only the username ... no specific keywords used. This search should find me all the posts from that user ... in this case member of the mod team.

If there are more than 9 pages you can click "next" and more pages will show (with older posts).

Trakilaki is correct. You can also uncheck the box I marked in green in my screenshot and that would cause it to search the entire forums regardless of where you are.

If you were just trying to search "Super Forum Moderator" though, that won't turn up a specific person. You need to input a mod team member's name into search. :)

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Anyki
