This is a class based games where classes doesnt differ by stats.
And now u are going to say. Oh ofc they do. No they dont. Those differences aren’t good enough. They are very minor and doest make classes feel like different CLASSES.
The only difference that classes have are the skills although even there you have gave everything to everyone. Hell, all classes can wield a shield equally successful. I really don’t know how the hell this is even possible. Archers with super fast attack speed, doesnt make ANY sense. Archers should have high dmg because their attacks are considered piercing but not attack speed.
You could still allow all classes wield shield but with difference success and amounts.
    ONE EXAMPLE.
DK should be the class with the most shield block amount, compare to the other classes should be able to block double amount of dmg. On the other hand Archer should be the class with the most Block chance but ofc very low block amount because they lack that thew DK has a melee warrior.
This is just an example. You can approach each class realistically and make the classes feel unique with their ups and downs.
Anyway. Right now when u start a class there are no statistical differences (beside skills).
Also, remove that stun immunity. Its not fair.

Your new skill tree system is good but the choices on skills aren’t deep and serious enough (they are minor). You keep the game with limited skill slots with the idea that the player should choose a specific type of playstyle but the existing skill-build choices don’t really offer that because as I said they are minor.
For example Rage Attack (DK skill).
First and second upgrades are useless. +2 rage is a joke and + 10% attack speed +5% speed with every stuck is a joke since after 1-2 hits you will most probably need to use another skill. Generally you have to be more generous and meaningful with skill trees so that difference is indeed being created.
those for now. im kind of underwhelmed by the "class" system of the game.

The biggest difference between this game and many others is that each class functions well on its own, and not dependent on another class to offset weaknesses. Yes, a combination of classes in a fight can wield synergy but a group of 5 like classes can still accomplish anything in the game.

This gives the character a choice of how they want to play by sacrificing one element for another. High HP over DMG, High armor over crit, or whatever you choose based on how you want to play. Just needed to find the right stats on the right gear to support what you wanted to do. Fast and nimble, or slow and beefy. Up close and personal or safe and sound. The only exception to this has been the 2H DK that had it all without weakness. I say had because R155 rebalanced that and we are yet to see the final result. This is a sensitive open sore at the moment and we hope the devs rectify this quickly.

Your point on the skill system is valid to a point. One of the cool things of this game has been the simplicity on the surface that leads to the complexities that are not obvious until further investigation and experience. Maximizing your capabilities takes some in depth analysis. I'll give you an example: Raptor or red Ess pets? You can offset either's capabilities by moving skill points. But one gives you overall better stats. Which gives you the best benefit?

OK, lets go with option A: I "missed your point" since option B would be rude, and i'm only that when its deserved.

Since I'm the Rain Man of reading; Ya, I'm a very good reader. Maybe you could clarify since my response was truly an attempt at discourse.

    LMAO XD

DSO biggest strength and biggest weakness is that it tries to bring balance. be that required or not required. Balance in classes balance in pay to play and free to play, my opinion is that is not possible, but if DSO team started believing that, they would have to have a very high degree of resolve to give a new direction to this game otherwise it would shake the very foundation of the idea that DSO runs with.
Your point of DSO trying to achieve equality or balance on classes and failing completely is very valid but that's the idea the current developers have in mind. If they believe otherwise, they and as a result DSO will stop functioning(unless they are resolved to give a new identity to this game).

The nice thing about forums is that you see many points of view, and can choose agree, disagree, ignore, like, add, refute, debate, hypothesize, and otherwise deal with the data. It can also go sideways into personality, emotions, and madness.

Considering the dismal quality of this gaming experience now, I'm rather surprised to see anyone on the forums at all.

At the moment the forum is carbonation from a freshly opened shaken can of pop. You don't know its been shaken until you pull the tab and then the bubbles have to go somewhere. Emotions and frustrations are overflowing and spraying all over the carpet, walls and I think some has hit the ceiling. Lets hope the clean-up crew has the right cleaning equipment and gets to the mess fast enough to keep it from setting.
