Bug?: Cloak of Power 2/5, Ember eyed item drop MIA

The Cloak of Power Quest 2/5, includes a requirement to "Collect 5 Crystalline Ember-eyes from the Ember-eyed Snooper at the FBI."

I've cleared the FBI map, including killing all the Ember-eyed Snoopers more than a dozen times. No quest item drop.

Is the drop rate bugged?

For reference, the other quest requirements, collecting 15 Consecrated Cloths from Souless Dragon Warriors from the Fortress map and 45 Wing Cord from the Dragon-brood Envenomers in the Dragon Caverns worked. Note: it took about 10 map clears to obtain all 45 wing cords, but every trip through netted at least a few Wing Cords.

 

worked fine before the hot fix but the drop was low i had to run it like 4 times to get 5 of them... maybe its broken now after hotfix

 

Running 4 times through to get 5, which is 1 per run though is low but not impossible. I've ran through 12+ times and have gotten ZERO.

 

Cloak drops are rare drops.
Rareity of drops get high as you advance through the cloak quests.
The Cloak of Power quest(5/5) is considered to be the second lengthiest quest after PoS PW Ammon's quest.
So don't get surprised if you aren't getting claok quest drops regularly.

 

LOL I got PoS done in 2 weeks Cloak of Power nil. The 1k gold got me on that toon.

As for you problem with the 2/5 quest. I really hate bad news when I give it and when I get it. Here is what I suggest. Please take a side note be prepared that I can be wrong and just deside if this is a risk your willing to take or not.


For quest that do not drop an item after 12 to 20 full map clears. I have found in the past deleting the quest and retaking it solved MY problems. Will it your? Who knows but are you willing to try...
