I remember slighty That nef release. Im from the beta days :) I remember tossing out so much gear with gems on it because there was no stinking way to remove your gems from your gear. Or all the miles my Character(s) walked because there was no such thing as a knowlegde tree lol. Oh the good ol' days.

Or when Essence in PvP used to be the full 100%, 200%, or 300% and an OP mage could kill anyone with one fireball? That was why I didn't play PvP for the first year I played this game.

I remember when SW magic missile pierced multiple targets like ranger arrow does now. Or you could be all alone in a map area on your screen and suddenly a magic missile would come floating across the screen because the shot range allowance was insanely generous for SW. SW's got nerfed huge after that, but back then they were actually too OP with the abilities DSO gave them.

This one was before my time, but I remember people complaining about the Nerf when I joined... Once upon a time, a SW gained mana as they leveled up... A SW was able to reach the point where they could spam their heaviest attacks almost nonstop.

There are a lot of overpowered players out there. If you create a boss that actually drops something with a certain rate, the OP players can farm this boss like an ordinary monster and increase the gap.

For example: Lets assume Mortis drops something worth of 300 ander. That would be really ok for players who had to work for it. But:
I could easily do 10 Mortis kills in one hour with a 2 players team. So one evening of 3 hours would drop 9000 ander worth of stuff for OP players, every day.

    You see the problem?
If you ensure drops anywhere, like in m2, you create a curse for other PVP players and a bunch of always bored players.

Not happy to say it, but keeping all drops random is actually a good choice on the long term.
