the test server belt

Hi All,

I dont have a test server account but there is many photos on facebook about this new belt. I would just like to start a dialogue over this belt. Firstly, i am a free player, but this doesnt meet i hold anything against players to support BP financially and i believe they should have better things made available to them. However, with that in mind other players who build a critical mass for things like pvp and pve team should not be so heavily disadvantaged.
I play a lot and i mean a lot, Over the years the best belt i have is a lvl 45 450 critical hit and 45 damage. Now compare that to 6000 critical hit and i think it was 360 damage now that is a kick to the u know where. Potentially this can create disinterest in the game, even something half as good will be very OP. I hope the developers and people doing stuff with the test server think about this before they make the free players obsolete in pvp.

 

this belt is like jesters speed gems and dks life hammer.... one more step to ruin the game

Those were the belt's stats.
It is more than obvious those are not "real" stats ... more likely just a "placeholders" for unfinished item. I am doing the same thing when creating the wiki articles ... making a placeholders so I can later edit the article faster and easily.
It is a test server ... not everything out there manages to live servers without changes.
CMs even gave a statement regarding that belt ... they said that belt is with temporary stats and it is not finished ... and said:

 

If i`m not mistaken, thursday 158 should get live servers? Nothin` new on TS or some new insight of new Ammons gear?

 

If this belt were to happen, what you should do is farm 6k gold by selling everything and save a 3 day premium gift for just this item - although I do have premium at the moment, I have saved one of the 3 day premium gifts for just this reason. Or eat ramen noodles instead of Mickey Ds on day and use the davings to just buy the cheapest premiun pack for 2.49

I saw the CM statement also and I do agree with traki above that this is probably just a placeholder item with placeholder stats and the final stats would be different.

 

Nice it seems that everyone agrees with me and there is even some premium players..... Just as trailikali said hopefully this does not happen on the live server

 

me ill never farm that amount of gold. wast of my time when id rather go to work. just a big mistake made by someone in BP. it should be dropped by Balor of 0% chance rate. the ones who saved all thir coin can become OP thus the game will be ruined. im sure it will have a name. the belt that killed DSO

 

6k gold is easy to get in a few days and that belt will definitely have much lower stats than the placeholder numbers you saw on the test server.
And even if it had those huge stats... how can it destroy the balance if everybody can have it?
For pve... everyone will have an easier time killing mobs and for pvp, the devs could just increase the defensive stats of the items and gems to compensate for this increase in offensive stats from the belt.

 

you are right. mistakes where made. the game does drop a good amount of gold. im not that hardcore of a player to do so. not like i used to be

 

I guess nobody noticed when the belt was 560g with 500ish crit and 34 dmg then. Sounds like you guys truly think that it will be 6k gold when the devs dont even know what price point and what stats this belt will have. Its more likely that this belt will have the stats of an avg legendary juts like most uniques out there. I can see it being stronger than a leg if the price point is going to be that ridiculous (6k)

 

The belt (which wouldnt make it into the game with those stats...) scaled to your current level, so if you were looking at it with your lower level toon, you would have seen it cost less gold and have lower enchantment values.
