May be at level 50 you will find many big spenders and you might not be able to do much in PvP without excessive farming or spending a lot of money, but I have not experienced this at lower levels.

Not that I don't have money to spend, but I have not yet found a reason to do so.
My DK has not spend more than 100k Anders and even that was spent unwisely at the beginning of the game to craft legendaries out of magic and extraordinary gear only to find that they are crap and that I outgrow them just in few days.

Well, lets not talk about my mistakes, but at 44 my DK with less than 500k in Glyphs, 6 extraordinary items and 6 level 40 legendary gear that I got from Sigris hard and pretty much no Anders spent on currently wielding equipment and Gems constantly (70%) of the time tops 5v5 score boards with a flag runner build.

So, if you say to me that you need money or exp block farming to win PvP in this game, I certainly disagree.

I'm on Grimmag. It is crowdy comparing to agathon, but in the European hours. As it passes 6pm EST, where I live, things get worse :) I speak or at least understand a number of Eastern European languages.

On the puzzle, I used to do this when it was possible. I kept two similar rings one with Cyanites, one with Diamonds to fight archers or mages. I kept extra sapphires in 3k gold stuff, but rubies in 1h. But it isn't that simple now. I don't have that many royal rubies to fill both 1h and 2h. But we at least can move them. Not glyphs, unfortunately, and u invested most into 2h, which is now lvl54 as oppose to lvl51 1h.

And you couldnt have both darkness and dragan prepared. One or two items, like boots, yes, but not core items)

It is another way to use your skills. If you are not brute force strong as your opponent, you have the option to do run and attack when the opponent is vulnerable.

In this case, the "Red Coats" need to be able to handle the subterfuge and stealth of their opponents.

Average? If you say so... mine must be somewhere near the bottom of the crap heap I guess. But then again I'm F2P by choice and missed the last Dragan event and still have some items with only 2 or 3 slots with only my weapon, adornment and shield having 5 slots (thinking about opening the 5th slots on my keen's set items, and obviously on my updated Dragan set once I get it). plus most of my gems are lvl 6 gems. So yeah, it's still a work in progress. Maybe in 5 - 10 years of F2P grinding I might also become average ;p

Anyway, here's my DK in his standard, more or less balanced setup for comparison. Any comments are welcome :)

EDIT: BTW, just to prevent any confusion, this screenshot was taken during the 3-day free premium period.

For F2P player you char is quite good. You have a very reasonable resistance, awesome block rate and good block strength.
Your HP and dmg suffer a bit, and critical hit rate (value) wouldn't be an issue if dmg was higher.
If you manage to raise your attack speed, one handed axe is the way to go, gives you some good crit and damage.
Again, it's a good F2P toon, don't be hard on yourself.
Saying "average" in regards to my own char was in terms of comparing to the strongest DKs from other servers, screenshots of which I have seen.
I would not even consider Keen's set now, as some legendary items from Fatal modes are far better and in conjunction with Warlord and Dragonache sets are way better than having Keen's set equipped.

as i said at the start of this thread dk are now stronger, just done event solo with field marshal sw and ranger, then with my 2 dks level 42 and 44,my dks made it look easy using green and a bit of blue in red area also no potions used.

DKs are only strong if they get a chance to reach their targets and most of the times against high damage SWs they usually die before they even make it to them.To be honest Dk are handicapped by the fact that they are purely melee while all the other 3 classes are ranged.
