Unable to get battles

Hello.

My name is Static, a very active player from the Agathon server. I would like to start a discussion about a problem that myself and a few friends have been experiencing. I normally do not mess around with the forums, I like to spend my time in game, not talking about being in game. Recently, I have hit a wall in game. I have farmed my ass off for months with the arrival of the fatal bosses, and they have been kind to me, glyph-wise anyways (It took 1500+ kills to get the grimmag set, 500+ kills on bear and still have not completed the set while some people finish set in less than 20 runs, but that is another topic...) I have recently farmed the 92.3 million glyphs to upgrade my 2 hand weapon to lvl 55. Now that I have completed that task, I would like to take a break from farming for a while and do some friendly pvp!

Ok. so, I can not get matches, with the exception of 1v1. 3v3 is rare, 6v6 can happen only if very strong players are online and running the map, which is still very rare, and 5v5? I am lucky to be able to get 1 5v5 match in a month. It has been an issue for quite some time now. I can not get any 5v5 match whatsoever, alone, or in a group. If registered alone, i will sit somewhere in the 1/10 - 4/10 queue for HOURS. Everyone in my guild will be getting instant matches when registered, over and over. If I join a group with my guild, we will sit 5/10 for HOURS. Very rarely we will get 1 match, then it is over in 5 minutes, and that is the only one for weeks. The weird thing is, every time, and I do mean EVERY time, if I leave the group, the rest of the team will get a match instantly, and then continue to get matches without waiting the rest of the night.

My alt toon can get instant matches as well, anytime he wishes. The two characters are very very similar in rank. In fact, being that my Mage is a very old toon, he has many more wins, and many more kills, by a very large margain, than my DK. So, throw out your win/loss, kill/death ratio theory, because even those are similar.

This is a problem that has been brought up to support several times, and the only explanation that I get is "We know this is an issue, across all servers, and have been complaining to the team about this. We have no time frame on when this will be resolved."

This is horrible! I spend months farming and want to do PVP as my break from it all, and I can't? Meanwhile field marshals and grand marshals are getting instant matches. I am a marshal. I am not high rank. I do not have a great record, because I used to do low level pvp with this character just for wisdom points, with no gear, so I have a lot of deaths and losses. Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem? Or at least an explanation as to why their matchmaking system singles out some people and does not allow them to get matches?

I know I am completely out of luck, and support has no power to do anything to resolve this issue, I would just like to hear if other people are having the same problem I am, and try and raise awareness to the team somehow on my own, because it seems that they are not doing anything about it thus far. I am a top player on my server, with the strongest guild here, and I can't even lead my team into battle. The only PVP I get is in the pastures, where everyone yells "REDS" while I am running greens lol. Yeah, fix that too, DSO team. You said we fixed essence! And no... you did not... And never brought it up again...

Anywho, thanks for letting me blow off steam. Sorry for the ranting, but I needed to share my frustrating situation with anyone with ears.

1) You are not alone in this. Many players are affected the same way.
2) A bug report for this was generated 8 mths ago and it has many player's details added to it
3) Multiple language teams have been including this as a "Top Community Issues" in the Weekly Report almost every week since the bug started. Incl. the EN team.
4) I am quite certain that Big Point understands the scope and seriousness of the issue and that affected players are rather niffed. They will be working on a fix for it.
