Dark Power

I just found a unique -- a *Helmet of Corruption* -- for my SW. It says: Mind Control creates a Dark Power charge.

(I can't see any diff between Mind Control w/ Dark Power and MC w/o it. I do use the taunt talent, but even w/o that, I don't see a difference).

What is *Dark Power*?

Man why can't anything just be simple!!

 

Dark Power is a ability/bonus skill just like the Armor of Darkness has "Shroud of Darkness".
Mind Control creates a "Dark Power" charge for 6 seconds for each foe within an 8 meter radius ... but this "power depends on the other set items too. If you have only one item equipped the charge will be 100 (maximum) but it will have no effect because you need the other items. You get bonus for the "Dark Power" for 1, 2, 3, and 4 equipped items of the set. http://drakensangonline.wikia.com/wiki/Helmet_of_Corruption

Hi, I just got a unique item 'Heart of Corruption' where it comes with an additional bonus skill called Dark Power. It says it generates dark power charge when I use the rocket pack jump(steam mechanicus). So, I tried it, and purplish aura was surrounding me in 8-metres radius. But then, what exactly does it do? Anything else handy it can do? I really would like to know, thank you.

I still don't get the slightest bit of comprehension on what does 'Dark Power' actually do. Does it inflict damages on the enemies? Anyone can clear this up?

easy example:
The bow bearer of corruption grants 1 charge of dark power per monster that is within an 8m radius when you cast "net" or "thorn thicket".
Setbonus with 1 piece: 2.22 crit dmg per 1 charge of dark power.

1. 5 mobs are around you (within 8m radius).
2. You cast thorn thicket. Thorn thicket creates 5 charges of dark power.
3. You now have 5 charges of dark power for 6 seconds.
4. Setbonus (1 piece): 5x 2.22 crit dmg. You now have additional 11.1%crit dmg for 6 seconds.



Look at the purple icon next to the costume icon which shows 100 charges of dark power. It grants me 222.22% extra crit dmg.

Can you stack the value of the buff if you use thorns several times on the same mob?

How did you stack the buff value up to 100? Can you use the same mobs to stack it further or do you need 100 different mobs?

Dosent say anything about "same mobs" or different...if you can use if for example on a boss and stack it to 100 only by him.

Also, would be very interesting if anyone could post a ranger's version of the helmet. It dosen't say anything about which skill it uses for a Ranger on the wiki. If someone knows plz post it here

I don't understand this, the set says (1) 2,22% Critical Damage for every "Dark Power"...so only 1 item do get effect?

 

considering the charges last for 6 seconds it's impossible

Your stats are effected by the charges. The more set items you wear, the more bonuses you will be granted with.
(okay I solved the issue by copy/pasting in word and re-pasting the text here. but there's a bug - when you copy/paste directly from the bottom window to the editor, it pastes NOTHING)
