    hi,

i have some questions about the game that i don't fully understand yet and/or am curious about.

    1) how much silver essence/min do you need to complete the full moon event? (on an average)
    2) how much fairy wood do you need to finish the new moon event?
    3) how do you farm realm fragments efficiently?
    4) how do you farm efficiently in general?:p

    stats: ^^

    1. The goal most people shoot for is around 20,000 in silver essence. The amount you use can vary depending on your attk speed and number of people in your group, etc.

    2. If memory serves the max needed is 3400, but most people can get by in the 2700-2800 range. This is by far the most boring farming you can do and requires a lot of realm frags to farm and do the event.

    * Just so you are not surprised, don't get your hopes up for the event uniques from the moon events.* Like all uniques they land few and far between.

    3. Farming realm frags is a unhappy subject today. Back in December DSO raised the amount of frags needed, but have yet to increase the drop rate. Considering how many frags a player needs this subject has been pretty heated. At your level, I would suggest running Temple Sector or the Spawning Ground. Any map within + or - 5 of your level will drop them, but those two were "luckiest" for me when I was leveling up characters. Once you get a little higher (lvl 46), Stillwater Bay is a great choice for farming realm frags.

    4. General farming is a bit different. You want to run maps as fast as possible, staying within that + or - 5 to your character. Mount Suvius was one of my favorite maps when I was at your level and the drops were okay. Temple is great and Gorga is a good choice if you can do it quickly.

Now DSO has made some changes to the bosses (Sigris and Gorga) to slow farming down a bit, but both are still worth the time. For gem farming, Gorga is still the best map (in my opinion) outside of the parallel worlds.

The best advice I can give you is to go slow and pay attention to your build. Think long term, not just what is best for you today. Look at the character class threads here on the forum and get an idea of just how balanced of powerful your class can be. Then build a plan and stick to it.

For the most part, (except SM) you can have a couple of options on how you want your build to be. SM's are all dmg, so you don't have to worry about balancing crit with it.

    Other than that, have fun.

    Hello will-verdrag,
I'll answer some of those for you.

    1) Lockpicks are used for opening different types of chests you find in dungeons. Shabby chests require no lockpicks, Magic chests require 5 lockpicks, Extraordinary chests require 25 lockpicks and Legendary chests require 100 lockpicks. I'll leave it to the other forum users to help you decide which one is the best.

    2) Some of the common ways of finding a group are: - Through the group finder in game. To access it, you have to go to the social panel
(Hotkey: f) and then go to the group tab (The icon with three heads). Here you can see all the groups that are in the area you're in unless they're hidden of course. To join, you can left click on the group name which presents you with some options. You can either send them an invite asking them to let you join or message the leader asking him to invite you.
-Through the Local or Regional chat. At times, there are people looking for members
    in the chat.
-Here in the forums. You can simply create a thread here describing the type of
group you're looking for. Hopefully you'll find a group. But DO NOT SPAM.
-Or, you can simply make your own group. To do that, just go to the group page
once more and click on the "Create group" button at the bottom.
    Cheers.

    1. Personally I like the 25 lock chests. You stand some chance of getting a somewhat useful exo piece of gear, and you can craft them up.

    2. Finding groups is easy (for the most part). You can either wait for someone chatting about making a run on a map, or you can start that chat about running a map.

Personally I like it better when players use open chat to ask about grouping versus private chat, but that is simply my preference.

Some maps will get more interest than others, so keep that in mind.

Finding a good active guild will make finding groups so much easier. Any time you do run with a group, keep those names so you can ask again when you want to form a group.

Last but not least, you can make a post in the pve section of the forum if you're looking for groups, but be specific in what you want, ie: need players to beat X or to complete X map.
