by the way, in the last twitch session the community manager said something like they plan to remove the health potions from PVP so the skills will matter. That just made me laugh. Again, this is fine tuning. I can use 20 health potions against a grand marshal and I will still gloriously die. First they should not put me (legionnaire) against a grand marshal, then remove the health potions form the PVP. What they are doing is just dust in our eyes, not what really matter.

If you have been around a long time you will know this was a requested feature from many. This was not an idea BP had but a request they fulfilled.

I've been around since 2012, so I know how the game is.. What I am really saying is that the users request a lot of things and some of them would really make a difference. BP implements only few that doesn't fix any issues by themselves, if are not coming together with the rest of the requests.

To give you an example, the users would request:
    - no more high rank gems for low level characters
    - no more high gear upgrades for low level characters
    - balanced PVP
    - locking high level maps for low level characters

BP is locking the maps and then informs us very proudly that the long lasted request is now fulfilled and very soon the twinks will disappear and low level PVP will be balanced. Well, guess what, without the others, only by locking the maps, noting will happen.

Same with the health potions removal from PVP, if not coming with the other fixes, it means nothing. They can give me 10 times my health in PVP, it is useless if they put me to fight a grand marshal.
The annoying part is how BP is showing of about how they are listening to us and taking action on the user's requests

OK I know where your coming from but honestly there have only been few twink suggestion I have seen. (BTW this thread maybe will never see the light of day with the respect of suggestion since this is in the game play section and not in creative corner) I do believe the pot removal was not part of DE twinkling but maybe a balancing act to pvp. The other balance to pvp I have seen is the tower tier system. I know not everyone will agree with every suggestion that has or will be conceived. I will be honest with you some seem great but before last week I have never seen them. So it is conceivable that they are not implemented yet. Unless it is shot down (trade system) then there are always possibilities for them in the futur. When designers make a path for the game (locking high level maps/Banning botters) there is very little we as players can do. I like your desire and in the futur hope we can agree on some points.

And in the end why stopping the twinks ? Let them get as strong as they want, let them farm destructor at level 10 if they can. The players are complaining because the twinks are ruining the PVP, so fix that instead. Don't put recruits in arena together with centurions or higher pvp levels and the problem is fixed. No one will ever complain about twinks again because no normal player (that does quests and levels up) will meet them in arena. So for normal players the twinks won't even exist. And on the other side the twinks will have fun between themselves in arena, so everyone wins.

I agree with you on this. This is the exact reason to why I don't touch PvP. I had a low level SM, but the system kept on matching me with a twink, so I had no hope of even getting one honour point.

You get honor points even if you lose so technically you can get one honor point.

So long as you land a hit... I've fought some some people and killed them without taking any damage and they walk away empty handed.

Problem is... I can't even land one hit. They'll just one-hit kill me (or not, but it leaves me barely alive).

I have the weakest sm in the world. I just rushed with him to lvl 50 to realize I hate the class :( and never played with him again. But I still do the daily quests for him so when I had gotten the pvp ones I had to do it for the fun of it. Ye sure its going to be hard to win a battle but sometimes more like 50/50 you will get people who are weak or even weaker than you. Just keep farming and try to find a good match and Im sure you will be able to get more honor points and win more battles. Currently the pvp is unbalanced so only if you need to do the daily quest you should but remember you can get to 6/9 daily rewards so think if the other 3 are worth it before doing them. If you do want to keep playing pvp than just keep playing and eventually you will get better or find a weaker opponent. Good luck :D

Personally... I think XP blocking is part of what makes this game unique. And BP keeps it around because it's a great source of profit to have all those LVL 20s buy all those gems / mounts / jester ander / glyphs. That does not mean that it is anything other than unacceptable to have a LVL 5 that kills anyone that he sees and drives 50 people away from the game because (this LVL 5 is SUPER COOL) HE spend $2000 on gems :) But If that LVL 5 Ardent Koto can only fight other LVL 1-10 kotos, it will be fun for the XP blockers that don't XP block just so they can kill unsuspecting noobs, and it will be fun for the LVL 5s that started 20 minutes ago and just got their first flawed gem. Because those people don't actually enjoy being crushed. But if you eliminate XP blocking, you will lose a lot of the players and more of the money.
    All the best.

I wish... most of the time I'm matched up against flag bearers or higher while I'm only a Knight of the Order... unless you are talking about strength, and then it may be true. I wipe the floor with some of those high ranking players. :p

Thank god you're not playing in my server, which is Tegan. Otherwise there will be a more complain to buff ranger or nerf other classes from the 'Well known Grand Marshal ranger, ranked number six on PvP in Tegan'.
And I believe you know that person already
OR... Maybe you should play in Tegan? :D

Back to topic, "locking the high level map for low level players" is makes much sense, period.
Why would level 20 farm in, say, Eternal Watch or Temple Sector?
The higher your level, the more privilege you gain. That is the basic rule in basically anywhere on this earth, including in virtual reality.

Unless you're talking about twinks, well, that's your own problem.

Ironically, I have more trouble against good RAs than good SWs, but I would love for them to combine Tegan and Agathon... then I could wipe the floor with him too since everything I've heard and seen indicates that he is not a "good RA". :D

And that is the root reason for locking these areas. The worst thing about when they did the locking is that if a toon had unlocked the map before the areas were locked, they still have access to this day. I wish that they had teleported everyone back to the highest city that they should have had unlocked by their level and then locked everywhere above their level. I've said it time and time again... anything that can reduce the amount of twinks in the game or take away their OP advantages is not a bad thing. Implement 3-5 specific control measures and then the twink breed will die out overnight. Sadly, we know that BP would never do that because twinks represent a large portion of this game's income.

Locking up the maps is right thing ... besides ... twinks are having lot more options for farming ... regular maps are not worth farming .

If trading was in the game than locking the maps would be useless. They could for example just farm pw with their lvl 50 to get 2k-8k gop per Item if they are lucky and trade with their twinks. If trading wasnt in the game but the maps werent locked than the same thing would happen.

But... Neither of those scenarios are in place... And never will be. :)

I know but for some reason I am not sure if that is the reason for not trading.

  19. Wllf

The reason for not trading is that there is no reason for trading... Scythe had a good idea for an auction... but that is a different story.

The biggest reason why trading is not in the game is because it is highly exploitable ... in any way.
