I did a test full run on painful with my DK - got 7 pickaxes, about 526 impure, and 48 pure without using a pickaxe on a geode. Burner drops were also 8incremented +1. Used one of the maps on the wiki to identify pure geodes and got another 88 pure viscanium (instance 5, 19 axes used)

Make sure you also open the new free amphora chests - those net a lot of impure.

Additional runs: I also did a full run on excruciating on my mech - result was:
560 impure (from barrels, monsters, new free amphora chests)
15 pure (hopefully a low outlier)
11 pickaxes - some of those were from the new free amphora chests that have been added to the map
    burners were all incremented +2

Then, followed the wiki instructions for opening geodes, got instance 4, used 20 pickaxes, got 122 pure viscanium from the geodes.

I opened a 1 key amphora in the excruciating map and got 15 pure viscanium, 2 pickaxes, 5 draken and 1 tier I green item.

I also opened a 5 key golden amphora in the excruciating map and got 60 pure viscanium, 6 pickaxes, 20 draken, 350 blue essence, and 1 tier II legendary item.

I have to say, that my excitement about 186 release was grieved by the new reworked "Dark Dwarf Heist, Community Edition" arrival.
I praise when the credit is due but this is insanity. I only farm PWs Infernal 1 mode, but when I entered this very mode of this newly baked event.... I was speechless....
So called "increased drop of visconium have been cropped to 14 from 50....
The difficulty is crazy, it is harder (much harder) than PWs Infernal 1 maps
Clearly their marketing department calls ALL the shots, but there has to be a limit to it!

During the last Dark Dwarfs Heist, I was saying to people do not complain about the same drop for all the difficulties, be happy, because knowing Bigpoint, they will work backwords, they would not increase the drops for higher difficulties from what it was then, but they will definitely trim the lower difficulties. And here we are, exactly what happened.

I said this a few times, that I love the game, but I hate the guts of this company. Just before 185 I actually left the game and started another one (I won't be saying the name due to the limitation of what we can say here). When the 185 arrived, my liking for it was more than my hate for the company. So I stayed..... but, allegorically speaking, I am not sure for how long I will be carrying this heavy suitcase without a handle, which you feel very so to just drop, and it's getting very challenging to keep going....

This is my progress after only 2 runs in Viscanium Mine

I have spent 0 pickaxes. Playing in painful with green essences.
However ... those random champions in painful are equal to PW fatal mini bosses. They are even harder to kill then the mini bosses inside the same map :D :D

    Traki,
my progress is also going ok, but it doesn't change the fact that they trimmed the drops. Another one, is that event's Infernal mode is not Infernal, it's insane. That little Gnome Miner's fire damage feels like he just arrived directly from hell and it is greater than Herald's hits on Infernal. I think, I am making a mistake saying this, because again, instead of fixing that, they will most likely increase Herald's damage......
And ... getting 1 impure visconium geode from the visconium stone, having used 1 pick axe makes me mad.

I was just thinking and analyzing what is it that really pisses me off, and it surficed.. it is the fact that they lied again to their community, bluntly and shamelessly by saying they have "improved" the drops and that "we have listened". If they simply reworked the event, saying, ok, here's how it is, we don't think we can provide you players with what you are asking for, simply because we have no regard for you, bite the bullet and accept it. It would be better, than these lies.

They completely have lost their credibility in my eyes.

I was not replying to you :p
Yes I know how hard is Infernal ... i have been playing infernal at TS. That is why I said before the start of the event "painful is the way to go".
Remember... you are not supposed to farm equipment in this event but finish it as soon as possible ... and farm amphora keys :p
You can farm equipment in PW.
The drop in painful is better than in Infernal ... considering the effort and resources spent while playing. While you are playing one run in Infernal with blue essences or higher (most probably ... in fact I am sure red essences are required :D ) I will make 2-3 runs in painful by using only greens. If you think you will get better enchantments ... I doubt ... i have already tested that aspect ... it showed that painful is the mode for everything :)

Please add some further info from your experience, cause it is the point mate!!

I have always thought that the basic reason to play in fatal/infernal was not due to the fact that the enchantments are "better" (especially in terms of maximum achievable value), but that is more frequent to find enchantments with higher values (so called as "yellows") than playing in the lower modes. Or, in other words, my feeling has always been that the probability distribution of the values is more favorable in higher modes. Now you're saying that it is not true that either?

So, what higher modes could serve for? Uhm.
