Hi! This is second part of My Question series ! In this one i would like to ask questions just for pvp . I was playing pvp battles and for now i am recruit and i am lvl 22 but yesterday i saw guy that was lvl 10 and he was ardent knight of the order how is that even possible ? I saw it need about 1 450 000 to get that rank and how lvl 10 can do that i played a lot of battles and i have only 6846 . And when i was playing 3v3 under name of team ( blue or red ) there is ''favored'' or ''slightly favored'' how is that working ? Is it maybe by counting all cv from both teams and team with better cv is favored ? And how are guys there so strong i mean in 3v3 they are little stronger than me some are really stronger ... but in 5v5 they are all centurions or knights of the order and they can one hit kill me ? What they have when they are so strong ? And what are dishonorable kills ? Will you guys add more pvp battles not just these ( 1v1 3v3 5v5 6v6 ). You can add like deathmatch with 8 players or make maps with 4v4 for example and in that map maybe goal should be which team first kill about 50 enemy players it wins ?

Congrats, you have encountered a wild twink. Twinks are a cancer in this game that the developers seem to not give a [EDIT] about (Likely because they represent a steady revenue stream). These players use other high level players (often other twink's main toons) to block their XP while they get event rewards, items to melt for glyphs, they spend money on gems, etc. Then, the only place they do get XP is in PvP where XP gain is minimal per kill. To make things worse, some even cheat by using multiple accounts to compete against other accounts they control, thereby allowing them to win things like 5v5 without getting any XP at all. Long story short, PvP at low levels is broken beyond description and it is only worth playing to get the rewards. Go for "Play X PvP Matches" and not the "Win X PvP Matches" to stay sane. When you reach LVL 55, then you can start getting to a point where you can be competitive. I'm a strong player myself, but I generally only PvP for my daily quest too because PvP currently revolves around a "One Hit KO" meta and I don't find that fun at all.
They (BigPoint) don't tell us the method they use to figure that, but most players think that it has to do with the win/loss ratios for the players on each team.
It tracks how many people you have killed who are more than 5 levels below your level in open PvP. I call it my "twink hunting counter" because I hate twinks and if I see one with PvP turned on in an open map, I slaughter them. The idea that a twink can have enough HP to survive more than one hit from me at LVL 55 and they have enough damage to actually scratch my HP shows how unbalanced some of the game mechanics that favor twinks are and drive my desire to kill on sight.
They did a "King of the Hill" mode during an event ages ago, but it never was added to the main PvP modes. Personally, before they go adding new kinds of PvP, I'd appreciate it if they fix/balance what we have first.

Thanks for answers ! I just dont understand one thing .
You said if you play pvp matches you get minimal xp per kill so even if they have 10 acc and play 5v5 how they dont get that minimal xp if they are all in same level range ? Can you play pvp battles in group with 55 lvl if you are lvl 24 ? And how you can play 5v5 with 10 acc that belongs to you when you can enter only one acc per computer ? Does that mean they have 10 computers ? Oh and do you get xp for that dishonorable kills ?

If you win the match by capturing three flags and no one kills anyone else, then you don't earn XP, just Honor Points.
    No.
They often use something virtual machines.
You only get XP if your opponent (man or monster) is within 5 levels of you. Conversely, a kill is only "dishonorable" if the other person is more than 5 levels below you. So, if you are LVL 35 and you kill a LVL 27, they are too low for you to get XP, but they are low enough for you to receive credit for a dishonorable kill.

Hi @Dekisa, please make use of the "edit" option when you have something to add to your previous post, double posting is considered spam and it's against the forum rules.

As per your question, BP has been informed of the situation a while ago, we'll have to wait on their actions, and decisions on those accounts, best regards.

The problem is proving that they are cheating. Think of it like a criminal. Without enough evidence, you can't prove it and BP seriously needs to work on their anti cheating measures.

As Baragain said, most players suspect that these are the heavy payers and provide a chunk of the revenue to the game. So in order to catch the cheaters, there has to be a desire to catch them, and that doesn't seem to be the focus.

There are many threads dedicated to the twink problem and many easy and obvious solutions to solving that problem, but DSO refuses to implement anything that might effect them negatively.

Erebus ok wont happend again first i wrote
and than i was thinking and thought why you dont ban that players . I am sorry. But than DSO can make something like rank restriction for levels i mean for lvl 10 highest possible rank for you can be idk recruit and for lvl 20 highest rank can be Seasoned Legionnaire ... What about that ? I mean you can still earn honor points but it wont effect on pvp rank . I meant if you are lvl 9 and you have 3200 honor points you can still earn badge of honor but you will still have 3200 out of 11000 so you cant have higher rank . And also on your honor tree where you can upgrade pervasive attack, steadfastness, ... you will still have 3200 . Can that be done ?

Like I said, this has all been discussed and offered before.

What you have to take into consideration is that this is all about dollars and cents. There are two real options.

    1. You create an imbalance where a small percentage of players spend a lot of money (DSO model)
    2. You create a better game where many players will spend a little amount of money (the games DSO rips off).

Since option two is considerably harder and requires much more effort, it won't happen here. This is why you see more and more sale items are being presented. When players begin to leave a game, you offer more cash items to make up for the difference. All failed games follow this same path.

Outside of the truly amazing graphics in DSO, there is nothing that is compelling here.

The reputation of DSO being a pay to play/win game is well known in the gaming community.

In the past with a ton of time and hard work, you could create a great free character, but those days have passed.

Dekisa, like Rhysingstar said, there has been a lot of discussion on the topic of twinks and I've done more than my fair share of talking about the topic, so let me bring you up to speed on the wide range of things we've talked about.

Top 5 Ways to Eliminate the Twink Infestation:
    1. Limit PvP level according to your experience level. At no time can your PvP level be more than +5 levels above your XP level. Any Honor earned after reaching +5 PvP level above your current level should not count towards leveling up your level or rank and only provide you Honor Points for spending at the PvP shop.
    2. Remove XP blocking by using a player in your group who is +6 levels above you. Either prevent grouping between players who have more than five levels between them, or the player always gets XP from kills.
    3. Limit the number of times you can upgrade your items with glyphs to no more than +5 levels above your XP level. Right now, a LVL 55 player can upgrade their gear to LVL 60 because LVL 60 is the ceiling that the developers coded in. Wouldn't it make sense that a LVL 20 player could only upgrade their gear to LVL 25?
    4. Limit the quality of gems a player can used based on level. A brand new player, unless they drop some serious money at the start will only have small gems and as they farm and level up, they will make better and better gems. Further, the content is scaled such that gems do not become game changingly significant until endgame. In normal progression there is no reason why a LVL 12 character needs to have their weapon decked out with 5x Flawless Rubies and their armor filled with polished and radiant defensive gems.
    5. Limit Parallel World access to endgame (LVL 40+). A first time player does not unlock the PWs until LVL 40 (I think? They've changed it since I had a new toon), but an alt toon on an account that has already unlocked the PWs on one toon has access to the PWs starting at LVL 10 (15?... as said, it's been a while). That gives them access to easy, high quality loot that their opponents don't have access to. It also provides easy access to glyphs and can be farmed with an XP blocker for higher efficiency (see complaint 2).

Buuuuuut... I've made all these arguments before and they have fallen on deaf ears, so what makes me think that "they" will start listening to my words of wisdom now?

Well while i was playing pvp few hours before (5v5) my opponents were all knight of the order and higher while i was ardent recruit and i havent got a single kill and i really pissed off and i quit game until i calm down so maybe some players that are low pvp rank like me will quit game and wont enter ever again so when DSO start loosing players (because of pvp) maybe than they will listen to advices given by you , me , ... But just maybe .

It's been like this for years. Unless you are building a twink, you don't even want to step foot in the arena until you make serious progress. The problem is that when you get to end game, because of the changes they've made to PvE, it won't be much better then. They still haven't figured out that they need to somehow separate PvE and PvE so that they can balance things individually. Right now PvP at end game is a "One Hit KO" meta that is really boring. Either I can kill them in one hit and it is no challenge, or they can kill me in one hit before I even get close. There is nothing in between anymore.

Sadly that won't happen either. So many players have already left and the direction of the game has only gotten worse. I can't speak for the game as a whole, but Tegan is a tenth or less of what it was when I first started playing some years back and there weren't that many to being with.

Years ago pvp was truly fun. You got new skills when completing the pvp tree, and it actually required some thought and skill. Players were more closely matched and for the most part the entire topic didn't revolve around everyone screaming for a nerf of other classes. There was no such thing as a one hit kill.

Prior to release 155 (the major nerf) I used to spend a lot of my playing time doing pvp, now when I do bother to sign in and play the game, I never do pvp, not even for the daily quest. The time to get a match on the ghost server makes it not worth the effort.

Maybe they will close game for year or 2 idk and make new one ? I mean where is point to keep game alive when there are not so much players and when they just keep leaving ?
