for years we have had – and still have – the issue of so called Spambots.
Spambots are usually posted by players in the chat, and they are fake sites that promise you free andermant or free items if you just click on the posted link and then give your credentials away on the site that you are led to.

The links are often called something like www.free-andermant.com or www.dso-bonus-codes.ru, just to give you two invented examples.

These links are not only illegal and illegitimate. They do not represent Bigpoint in any way, and they can cause a lot of damage to your accounts.
Let us talk about this behaviour and what it means to everyone of us in detail.

Bigpoint Information Policy
Us at Bigpoint would never post bonus codes or any sort of raffles in the chat. Only information posted by our moderators in the forum, or information you received via our newsletter is official and trustworthy Bigpoint information.
We will no longer tolerate that some users try to pursuade our players into clicking on fraudulent and illegitimate links that lead our players to illegal phishing sites.

Consequences for Users that post Spambots
If we see players that post Spambots in our ingame chat or on the forum, we will permanently ban those users right away, with no questions asked. We will not accept any form of excuses, such as the claim that someone else posted the material. All that matters is that the Spambot was posted from the account of the player who did it, and that will always and inevitable result in a permanent ban. We will not negotiate the punishment under any circumstance.

Consequences for Users that click on Spambots
Please bear in mind that all Spambots are highly fraudulent. They can´t give you free andermant or free items, because those sites have no access to Bigpoint databases. These sites try to persuade you into giving personal data away, and in many cases you might lose your account over this procedure, which is why we stricly classify Spambots as phishing sites.

Players that have clicked on these sites will not get any refund for any damage that might have occurred, again no questions asked. If the account is lost, we will not carry out actions in order to give back the account.

We felt the need to inform you about this issue and remind you that the safety of your personal data and the safety of your accounts are highly important.
