Please forgive me if this is listed somewhere else. I've tried searching, but couldn't find anything related to what i'm looking for. I'm looking for assistance for which events are "returning" and which ones are no longer coming back. I know about the Full Moon and New Moon and Castle Ravencaw. What i'm trying to do is eliminate un-necessary inventory that i may have for events that aren't coming back. Another example would be the Hunting Badges for the current event. i have 135 in inventory, but they aren't counting towards the 5 or 6 i've picked up so far. Do i delete them and start fresh each time? Thanks in advance.

Hunting badges can be sold as you go or at least after the event has ended. As for which events are returning pretty much any that have occurred over the last 12 months will happen again. For specific items that's a pretty long list and some of them are "it depends" on such factors as available inventory, desire to d them again, etc.

    Luck be with ye,

Hello @blitzcragg, unfortunately, there's no such list, the only events that you can have 100% certainty about always coming back are the New Moon and Full Moon ones, as for the rest, it depends on the development team, as a constantly evolving game, some events are able to keep their relevancy and are requested by players very often, such as the Curse of the Black Knights (Dragan event), others, despite players enjoying them a lot in the past and deemed as good events (E.g., Terrifying Shadows, a.k.a. Sargon) get outgrown by the game standards and are put on indefinite idle, others are seasonal (Christmas, Halloween) and it's expected we'll get an event on those holidays, but even those have been subject to changes/reworks to adapt to the ever-growing game standards, which implies reworked mechanics, mobs, rewards, etc.

As for your other question, @MikeyMetro is on point about the Hunting Badges, also remember selling them will not trim your current progress on an ongoing Monster Hunt event, and previously obtained ones won't count towards a new iteration.

Now, my personal advice as a player like you would be, watch closely the events that we've been having during the past 1-2 years, choose wisely which event related items you would ultimately want to preserve in case any of those or an old event gets a nice rework or simply a comeback, such as rare/hard to get items, or special essences/consumables (E.g., Keys of defeat, Empowered Cursed Pearls and regular ones, Light Essences, Antidotal Essences, Valves for the Castle Sewers, etc), by doing this you'll be on the safe side as much as possible. Also, keep an eye on the forums and on DSO social media, from time to time we'll share any information we have about returning events, if we have certainty and assurance of it, hope this helps, best regards.

Thank you very much, MikeyMetro & Erebus! I try to keep an eye on the events.. i've been playing for around 4-5 years now. I love the Christmas event, so i will always keep my Sugar Beets. I did the sewer event and enjoyed it, hence i will keep the Sewer Keys and the Valve Items (not knowing whether this event will come back). There are other items, however, that i've been holding onto and not knowing whether to keep them or get rid of them. Perfect example: I have Barricade Timbers, Fieldstones, Scrolls of Punctuality, and a couple of the Oaths... and this is all for the Invasion of Kingshill.

A guildline I go by is how difficult was it to get enough of the items, either by grinding (such as the empowered pearls), or by lousy drop rates (such as the Barricade Timbers). Things that I can easily obtain next time around, I sell or toss.

Now that i'm able to look at my inventory (i was at work, earlier), i am more able to give exact items.
Order's Notes (2) Part of a quest.. but i don't remember which one.
    Anniversary Arena Chip
    Precious Sprayers (4)
    Jullov's Sleep Potion (3)
    Time Dust (286)
    Star Map (6)
    Hourglass (11)
    Phestos Egg Opener (3)
    War Gear (23)
I'm currently working the Deeps of Demise quests and the Gold Badges are exactly the same as the Insignia of Sclad and the Silver Badges are Insignia of Lacomus

I really enjoyed the invasion of Jarlsholn (I think I spelled that wrong) and the Resistance command center one. I think thats what it was. I've got war gear, boulders, and dynamite sitting in my inventory and wish those events would come back. What I don't understand, what I simply cannot fathom is why we have to endure yet another Dark Dwarf Heist next month. I kept silent the last time around when it felt like we had two iterations of that epic grindfest back to back. Am I the only one that hates that event? The first map gives my ADD a workout as it isn't very linear. The second one is so dark and gloomy, which by itself isn't terrible but its just so dull and boring. Since every event requires running a map again and again and again, I would appreaiate something fresh. Maybe larger maps (with more progress). Less total runs but longer run times would make it feel less monotonous.

Lastly, on the DDH, this event in particular seems to be tweaked more than other ones, against the wishes of the community.

I've found 3 items in my bag that I doubt will ever be put to any use in the future, but please let me know if otherwise...

I think they are all obsolete now. The Lortac fragments definitely are obsolete.

Yep, think both the first two are from that Lor'Tac-announcing / preparation event. Totally obsolete. Sell the Tablet Fragments, toss the Corrupted Andermagic. As for the Materi Prisms, they are from the Materi Storm events - those might return with a bar featuring small rewards (Draken & Materi Fragments) on a given Parallel World. However, they are just progress... the kind that also goes in your inventory (like in Monster Hunts or the currently running Sewers event; a totally useful thing, occupying slots -_-) and aren't worth but a few coins.

Sell them and get some coins instead ;)

Well, maybe the progress items do occupy some space, but at least we can sell them and receive some silver or gold, maybe not so much, but still better some than none.

    Thanks @Novadude @Morinphen @Iselda

It would be fine if it was made clear somehow [in the game] which items are or will be good for something and which will not.
Also there are quest items that are useless for higher level players, but the game does not allow them to toss the items out of their bag, like Agathon's Alliance Hall keys... But that doesn't belong to this topic :]

I'd rather have the slots free instead. One single item might be worth more gold than all of those. Take the current event... we have to waste 2 spots for the two kinds of progress over 10+ days - on top of all the other event items, which are not few (least those have a use).
Well, for some of them it was clear when they were introduced (for example, quite obvious another pre-Lor'Tac event cannot return). As for those that can be used later on, it'd be trickier because there's no guarantee everything will return, even more so if that will be in the same form as before, or if any changes would apply. Sometimes they do say if certain stuff will be used again and stuff like that, in places like event FAQs, but it's up to use to follow and seek info, if it is available. Or just ask, that's one of the reason forums exist ^^. Having everything in-game would only clog up item tooltips, some of which are already screen-large or bigger due to all the content written.

As for quest items, yeah, those can't go away unless used or if the quest they belong to is cancelled from your log.
