Hi, who can craft 4 gold lines in any equipement, please share with us, how many attempts did you needed, to build an item with 4 gold lines.

Here on average I took 12 to 22 attempts to make an extraordinary with 2 gold lines, and legend with 3 I just got 2 itens and I do not remember how many.

Did it in 1 attempt for my 1st 4/4 andornment. 1 and half year for 4/4 2h weapon. And over 1 and half year no luck to craft 4/4 move speed boots. The number of attempts sample just too wide.

You are in early iteration of character development through crafting. It is good that you already realised how difficult it is to get even 2/3 extraordinary and 3/4 legendary.

I'm not sure where the thread going to go. But if you looking for legendary to be transfer to uniques at early iteration of character development.. Consider not to target 4/4 legendary, but instead keep on trying to get 3.5/4 legendary through extraordinary crafting.

Getting 3.5/4 legendary is considered faster and or course way cheaper. Yet almost as powerful as 4/4 legendary.

If I were to take notes of all crafting attempts on one item ... the results would be as following:
    - if I were taking notes on paper ... entire Norselands would be without trees ... since i would use them to make notebooks
    - if I were taking notes on a text document ... I would have to buy new 2TB HDD so I can store that document

hi.. so pw ranking comes to an end very soon AGAIN.. do you feel craft goes almost pretty good. yes i have noticed second ranking time that when we get gold from ranknigs then crafting fails and yesters win is zero ess and gems and revive stons. for 5 gold bets.
i feel on that period of time drakensang plays us not we not the game.. i buyed deluxe for save more gold on crafting side but yet sill no luck. after gold spend and 3 weeks passed i got my luck back on crafting. this is really sad.

dear players after ranking end dont waste your gold. dont craft. wait like 2-4 weeks..

In this game, luck is not controlled by any game mechanism. So, as far as I know, waiting 2-4 weeks would not increase your luck.

I have crafted all my equipment across 4 characters.
Two of them to have all Extraordinary equipment with 3x golden base stats and 2x golden attribute lines. This was fairly easy.
With a total crafting cost of about 3000-5000 gold and within about 2-4 weeks of crafting, one can get this status fairly quickly.

Now I am into the next step of crafting 3x golden attribute lines and transferring them into Uniques.
This is where things started to get way more expensive because the price for crafting pinks to legendary is about 10 times of crafting from blues to pink.

I have no idea how much money I would need, but that seems a lot. Upwards of 20k-80k depending on what method you would follow.

I guess I’m luckier than most. I have 5 pieces crafted with 3 Gold lines. Another has 4 gold lines. I think the item can determine the difficulty in transferring/ crafting items.

Still no 4/4 items for me yet. I consider myself blessed when the random generating god grants me 3 gold lines and even that has not been very often.

Whatever voodoo DSO put into their RNG works well. So when some chose to take advantage of the crafting bug I understood, not condoned, but understood. It's frustrating when you spend thousands in gold and end up with nothing but crap.

Humm, how many times do you have to craft to get what you want? That sounds like a math problem!

I don't know if you've seen this chart, but it lists the probabilities of getting what you want based on the input lines. You can calculate the average number of crafts needed to achieve a result by doing 1/change. The simplest example is trying to transfer a gold line from a green to a blue. The probability is 1/0.25 which is 4. That means, on average, it will take you four tries to transfer that gold line to the blue. Sometimes, you will get lucky and it will be on your first try. Other times, it will be exactly 4 tries. Other times, it may take you 10+ tries. In theory, it is possible to try 100+ times and fail, but by then, the probability of this occurring is negligible. The point is, if you did a lot of these sorts of crafts, the average would be 4 tries.

If you wanted to figure out how likely it is for you to fail a given number of tries in a row, simply take the probability of failure (which is one minus the probability of success) and raise it to that power and subtract that from 1. For example, if you wanted to know how probably it is that it will take you one try, it is 1-(0.75)^1 or 25%. The odds that you'll get it in two tries, you are looking at 1-(0.75)^2=43.75%. The odds for a couple are listed below.

For the transfer of 1 gold line from a green item to a blue item:
    # of TriesProbability of success by or before
    you're tried this many times
    Probability of trying this
    many crafts and still failing
    125% 75%
    243.75% 56.25%
    357.81% 42.19%
    468.36% 31.64%
    576.27& 23.73%
    682.20% 17.80%
    786.65% 13.35%
    889.99% 10.01%
    992.49% 7.51%
    1094.37% 5.63%
So, by the time you have attempted the green to blue craft 10 time, you have a 94% to have succeeded already.

Now, if you want to see something depressing, I'll do two calculations for basic 3/4 legendary to legendary crafting.

    100 attempts:
0.9918^100=43.89% chance of failure and only a 56.11% chance of success leading up to that many attempts..

    500 attempts:
0.9918^500=1.63% chance of failure but a 98.37% chance that you've already succeeded.

So, the moral of the story, is that if you try hard enough, long enough, you will eventually have the odds in your favor.
