Announcement Cannot enter game after Hotfix #2 R161

Hello Heroes,

After the hotfix #2, which was synced today (17.02.2016) the following error messages occurs when players want to enter Drakensang Online via the thinclient (see below). Currently this effects players that have Windows Vista as operating system.​

Failed to unpack downloaded file dro_client.exe:Failed to open target​

Download error: url=http ://drasaonline-481.ahbpcdn.net/…./​

How can you bypass this error and enter the game?

1. You can enter the game via Firefox (browser)
2. When the thin-client asks you the following question:

<< New client installer available, download and install now? >>

Then please click on “NO” and you should be able to enter the game.​

We are currently investigating the cause of this issue. Meanwhile please follow the instructions stated above. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Hello Heroes,

As of 1:32 pm CET (UTC +1), 17.02.2016, the issues with the CDN provider of Drakensang Online have been fixed (according to the community management and development of Drakensang Online). This means that Windows XP and Windows Vista users should not face the issues anymore when trying to access the game via the thin client (as stated in the issue description earlier today).

In case you are still facing issues of similar nature please contact the Drakensang Online Support immediately.
