    Title says all.
I can’t even begin to describe how useful this would be for in-game communication/chat, etc. you name it.

    Please devs?

Nope, title says "DSO Discord Server". There is nothing about "all" in the title.
If it did it would say something about "TeamSpeak". ;)

Well I was expecting a PC gamer like you to have at least heard of Discord ;)
If you ask pretty much any (hardcore) PC gamer they will tell you that it is far superior to Teamspeak in almost every regard. Discord has voice/text chat as well as custom game servers. I would highly recommend for you to do some research on it/try it out if you haven’t already :)

What I am suggesting is for a DSO server where us Discord users can discuss the game/updates/whatever using text and voice chat. It also doesn’t require much management from admin as Discord has bots that do pretty much all the work :D

    Discord is the best.
It surprised me that people I played DSO with never heard of it. Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with DSO players. With Discord around, Teamspeak is trash.

Despite its superiority, I'm not sure if the DSO team would ever want to run a Discord server. And if they did, it'd be a good idea if their CM was active there so people can talk to him. Although judging from the plague in the comment section on the official DSO FB, the CM would have to wear only the best armor on Discord.

If you are sure a DSO Discord would definitely be a good thing, perhaps a better way to do it is to do it yourself. I'm sure people from this forum would join your server ^^

I agree with you 100%. I may consider doing that but I don’t see why the devs themselves shouldn’t set up a server. The Facebook page is dead and we can hardly ever talk to Jesse unless if we randomly find him in-game.

why do you need drakensang developers to create a discord server?

I guess because other dev teams do that. I googled for 3 random online ARPGs that came to my mind in combination with the word "discord" and all of them have an official discord server. All of them have several thousand members. It's part of community building.

CM Jesse could do that. And if it's too much work for him, DSO could have more CMs. They used to have 2 of them, right? And people seemed to love them.

Well, that's actually a good point, knowing how this forum works. But DSO FB, despite being plagued with stupid comments demanding bonus codes and spitting acid how bad DSO is, does not really edit or delete these comments. At least as far as I can tell. Pretty impressive in comparison with Bli***** who fight their community's recent rage with massive censorship hehe.

Actually, no one is forcing you to join or use a Discord server if one was created. So don’t post here if you don’t care about this because it doesn’t affect you in any way.

They don’t delete those comments because then they would be deleting 90% of the comments on their whole Facebook page :D

While we can pass along the suggestion, I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for an official server. If you'll pardon the pun, I'm convinced that a Discord Server would cause nothing but discord. You've pointed out in this very thread the regular dissent that some of the developer's actions spawn, and I'm convinced that if there were an official Discord server, it would be just as toxic, if not more so, than their Facebook page and would require a herculean effort to keep it from getting out of hand. After all, do you realize just how much effort it takes to keep this little forum tidy?

A BP run server is probably going to be as successful as the "Player's Panel" group on FB which people begged for. It's... um... well, basically a figurehead group, to put it nicely. I have yet to see it actually turn out anything useful. xD

Now, a player made Discord server might have some success depending on who you pick to help run it.

So glad to see that mods understand that, and i hope devs will understand that they have a toxic community.
That is why they don't have this game on steam, twitch or a discord server.
Now it come the question, why there is a toxic community that spam bad things on forums, facebook....?
It is players fault or BP fault for this bad behavior? BP trigger this behavior making all those bad changes to the game or is just players unhappy and frustrated by other reasons?
    Just asking for a friend.

Maybe players don't trust forums as a good feedback tool for BP and they want a direct line with devs like all other games have those days.
Since no suggestion from forums are implemented they think that no one form dev team read forums and if they offer them a direct line with developers they can make them understand what they want in this game.
