I have mobs and what y'all call bosses. So the bug isn't with me.

Regarding the last posts, I'm afraid the empty/same map issue is caused (according to my observations) after you get kicked out of the map and thus, back to the city, due to lost connection, client/browser crashes, nebula errors, etc. Although, this does not happen all the times you get kicked out for any of those reasons, and also it is not exclusive of the full moon event, this is a widespread issue, I've found it a handful of times in other events and parallel worlds.

This has informative purposes only, and as such, might not sound very useful, but the usual recommendations are to be followed: be sure to have a stable connection, malware free machine, updated graphics controlers, etc., all of these to minimize the chances of any of those scenarios happening.

I got 3 normal cursed amphoras during this event, last month got none.
This event got only 1 shield in 10 wolf kills, last month got 4 shields.

I saw two this month, one on each character. Probably 30 runs altogether. It's still there, which is nice. Still very easy to solo 2H on normal with red ess and it gives quite a bit of silver ess.

I think I got 2 shields on the dk and know I got 2 on the mech. Now have a tier 2 on the mech to go with my tier 2 to on the dk. Only need 9 more to on the dk to get to tier 3.

Got it all this event since on normal it goes all so fast and fun of course!
I milked a few cursed amphorae so they are still definitely there (though I did force them with repeated enter-check-reset in order to get my drakens ready for the Regalia cloak).
Minibosses drop uniques just fine. Good melt material.
Vargulf and Bloodmage dropped uniques though not in exaggerated quantity (nothing unusual from past events).
Blood drops on wolf-bosses were regular, though I did get a 3x2x60 streak on a Blood Moon turn.
Fine event as usual, untouched since the past month.

Not quite... for some reason, whenever I try to use a Varholm pass, it is auto-set on Excruciating (no such problem with the Bloodmap).
I was careful enough and noticed, but I'm sure that many may have had slight issues with this in a rush or whatnot. Not cool, BP...

Dropped a second one on this edition... finally, but not worth the craft (I also have 2 bloodstones) so I've opened my first cloak slot and threw it in there. :D
    Anyway...
What I don't like is the number of mini-bosses, like... On normal I got 8 and on excruciating only 2... WTH. And also the unique drops from mini-bosses seem better on normal than on painful and excruciating, like... I got 2 uniques on my first normal test run and only one for the rest of the entire event on painful and excruciating.
But still the best event, even tho it's gonna take me a few months to make a tier 3 item since I'm a solo-ist.

I am soloing a relatively new L50 RA, so the gear dropped from Vargulf is making a big difference in the ability of my toon to survive. I >can< make it through the mobs in Painful, but Vargulf himself was a no-go on that difficulty, even with a scroll of silver and red essence equipped. In that one Painful run, I actually hit quite a number of mini-bosses (estimate it was ~8), but every one of them dropped only 37 (25 * 1.5) werewolf blood (progress), so not worth the effort. As is the same for seemingly every other element in DSO now, random luck rules the mini-boss spawning. On Normal I had anywhere from 1 to 8 mini-bosses (and that run with only 1 mini-boss was dreadful, with the mini-boss coming at the last turn of the bridge before hitting the entrance to the Mine).

As for unique drops, I'm getting about 40% drop rate at Vargulf, about 25% drop rate in Bloodmoon. Plus two random old Vargulf items from mini-bosses in the main Varholm at night map itself. All in all, very acceptable unique drops. Was able to assemble a Tier II quiver, and swap out a better Tier I bow, and still have a few runs to finish the event, so I actually improved my toon with the possibility of more enhancements before the event is over. Can't say the same about anything else I've done for the last several months (other than minor gem upgrades and that annoying 5% health pet from the Xmas event); other events have been significantly nerfed (or were crap to begin with), I'm still too weak to "farm" PW (I don't even consider anything beyond Painful, and I'm not even through Q4, yet), and crafting is dreadfully slow (I think I've crafted 2 exo ingredients in 3 months). Oh, and I still can't even come close to killing Balor :-(

Bottom line, this event is just about the only thing I look forward to in DSO.

I'm almost regretting that I wrote this message, as it may be seen by DSO as an invitation to kill the lone remaining bright spot in the game.

EDIT: Forgot to agree with that comment about the difficulty selection bug, defaulting to Excruciating.

Also, on my lone Painful run I had a single Andermant drop, but of only 14 units, not 21 as anticipated. That's a small sample size, but should be looked at?

What do you mean "the game fails to tell you"?
Before opening the Bloodmoon map you were doing this RE quest http://drakensangonline.wikia.com/wiki/Shining_Silver_Essence_(quest)
What do you expect ... a busty blonde lady from the docs ... belly dancing around you and whispering in your ear "Glesia don't forget the Shining Silver Essence"?

Traki made me laugh a lot lol!!!

Well my first time on blood map also. I just didnt know i would need a lot more ess than i was expecting since most players (when in group) dont like to run to minis and than the boss. All good , next one ill be quiet prepared. Drops are good, didnt finish sets ofc , but till now im with t2 bow and t2 belt + a lot t1 to combine.

The biggest issue i think, that i noticed also in the past 3 fullmoon events , all dks dont use ess anymore. They learned in pw that we do the dmg and now they think they dont have to do dmg :)
Ofc im not Gawd and not in the mood to be so kind. Ahahah , so if something could be done to avoid the bunch of cheating peeps on this event , would be awesome. Maybe 10x de normal dmg if they dont use ess lol :D

Actually I forgot about that, good catch Morinphen... It was indeed annoying and I had to be very careful not to fall on Excruciating because the slider ignored my previous choice. Thanks for pointing it out!

Always ask and read the previous posts
And you did ask ... and got the answer :D
From my experience playing Bloodmoon map at normal mode is the best.
Drop rates are not much different ... when you are after unique items and gems.
Besides ... it is walk in the park ... and you spend very little shining essences.

I totally agree with Normal map - you save a lot of essences this way rather than bother consuming 1000 per round on excruciating or whatever.
What's more I recommend you being very economic with the essences. I run directly to the three bosses, kill them alone, collect the blood, and I'm out. This means completely ignoring random mobs on the map.
If I have enough essences I might do the Blood Mage as well, but I purely do this map to finish the event faster. Don't care about the Blood Mage that much.

I would suggest you to kill everything on your way to Bloodmage ... all drops are very good especially gems and andermant.
100-200 more essences per run are worth spending.
