Zipping through all the new updates, saw some mentions of a class rebalance. Gonna take a wild guess here and assume it's still a crappy support class.

They has been boosted, but i personally still don´t think they are worth it. They are damn annoying at 5vs5, but to use them there, you have to coordinate with freinds.

At PvE, they still seem week to me.

Well... of course it is still weaker than the other classes but it's getting there. Even with a premium or buying jewels it has a loong way to go to catch up to other classes. I personally ditched my ranger and other classes for it as i like how different it is and at least there ain't zillion others just like it in game. Besides I do happen to enjoy to be the little brat that once again comes and runs away with the flag ;) SM's are great on aoe (all over enemies) dmg on pve but it would require DK's to be able to hold more agg on enemies around it but of course that would require this game to have a healer class to keep the DK's alive and so on ;)

Well, steam mech is pretty good at tanking hard big paws in solo or in a group. Just do 2 turrets + shrapnel shot, and do a rotating dance around big paws like you should do with heredur, which keeps big paws confined in the damage ranges of the skills. Turrets and shrapnel shot are really essence affordable, and i find that my 1h and shield dwarf is easier to play against big paws than my higher base damage and better gear DK.

The only thing about group play is that a high damage spellweaver can aggro big paws away from the turrets.

Select the 10% increased drop skill that comes in around level 35, when you get to temple sector, it really helps with finding uniques and legendaries in temple sector, and will increase your glyphs as well. You can then use that gear to get better gear when you are endgame.

:DThat made me laugh hard. AOE=Area of Effect, although all over enemies is quite accurate.

I've seen it used on both cases. ^^
