FS is not a thickless skill either xD It is the new fireball for this new PvP. You can do more damage with FS than a ranger with EA (which in addition need to mark enemies before to deal the full damage).

Tbh I was writing a response to that post but I thought "this is completely pointless".

You started with a ridiculous claim that "they are fixing 'double burn' bug but leaving damage untouched" (again ignoring that R209 aka 'messcription update' messed up fireball's description) then you proceed to laugh cause of "my balance", next you're ranting about "why should fireball be viable" when I simply said "nerfing already trash skill wouldnt be a smart idea, this is counter intuitive" (it actually got nerfed but not as hard as you wanted to) and now you're talking about FS.

What's the goal then if it is not to correct the damage dealed to the opponent? It is pointless fixing a bug to add another factor that leaves everything as it was with the bug.
It's just trying to cheat, like saying they're going to fix an EA bug right now when they create pets based on elemental damage.
They didn't had time to do it before, it only comes to their minds in this precise moment :) Curious.

To change interaction of burn with crits and blocks? For example.
Sending and receiving less packets from combat? For example.
Having a skill description that fits actual effect? For example.
Using less CPU power by reducing the amount of rand() calls to generate damage numbers? For example.

Its pointless for you cause youre sitting in tinfoil hat while sitting at your desk and seeing only damage and it being the only essential thing.

Ah yes, tinfoil hat on point.
It was dealing physical damage at first, was changed for some reason to fire and will be switched back to physical again (so it does fit description MIND YOU!).

Are you seriously thinking you're in worse spot than mages cause you deal physical damage? Or cause armor doll is 18% meanwhile resistances dolls are 28%? Do you even math?
You deal physical damage with entirety of your spammable part of kit (hunting arrow, precision shot, death sweep, scatter shot, deadly blow, explosive arrow) meaning it doesnt matter which skill you're using you will benefit from reduced armor meanwhile mages:
    Magic missile - physical
Fireball - main hit (50% fire, 50% physical), burn (100% fire)
    Ice missile - ice
    Frost nova - ice
Lightning strike - lightning (NO DOLL FOR A4 USERS MIND YOU!)
    Chain lightning - lightning
    Guardian - physical or fire
    Destruction - 75% physical / 25% lightning
    Singularity - physical
    Meteor - fire
    Frozen sphere - ice

    So you have:
    Spammable - physical
    Big damage - physical
    Some loose cooldowns - poison

    Meanwhile mages:
Spammable - physical, physical/fire, ice, lightning
Big damage - lightning, physical/lightning, fire, ice
Some loose cooldowns - ice, physical or fire, physical

Obviously not all skills are used (for example you use either LF or FS, never both) but this is the exact reason why elemental dolls are reducing 28% and asar is reducing 18% - you're getting more from Heredur than mages btw. It's 11%/11% but you profit from every single relevant ability meanwhile mages have to pick which one will be doing more damage (a4/emilia users cant pick tho cause their builds got completely ignored with no lightning res doll available).

This is the exact reason you're dealing the same amount of damage on every single boss and mages are dealing more on 2 bosses and less on 2 or 3 (2 if you're using lightning strike on heredur, 3 if you stick to the sphere for all of your bosses).

It is a good excuse to say that you have skills with different elements as if it matters or you use them all.
Karabossa pet is the answer :)
What's better: having different choices or not having one?

  6. .RakshaRanja.

It's a good excuse to complain about 4% total damage difference while profiting from all skills meanwhile mages profit only from one during entire bossfight.

Fixing the SWs bugged skills and boosting them up is not the problem ... the problem is they are ignoring the fact that ALL RAs skills are bugged.
    But what is the difference?
SWs had helpful bugs ... while RAs bugs are crippling the entire class both in PvP and PvE.
You forgot to mention the keyword Spellweaver in the sentence ...
" For endgame SW player that has 80% crit Karabossa is much, much better on bosses. " ... there I fixed it for you :)
I will just add to it ...
Calculations relevant only in PvE ... since in PvP players have low resistance and can't change anything ... since there are no diamonds.
So practically you are saying what he was saying earlier about the pets. :)
All SW skill's hitboxes are huge ... even the one from MM and IM.
On contrary ... RA's are tiny and can hardly hit. Which leads to next point ...
Movement predictions ... my lower back :D
Especially in PvP where huge % of the players are cheating and using auto-aim or other cheating apps/scripts/macros etc.

    Karma?
now ... when you like it ... you agree on it ... :D
What is better: having different choices or not having one? (#TheGrandRoyalBuesTheft)

You two are like some kids screaming around XD
Here ... take some ... just calm down and stop the nonsense

As for R217 ... I see the patchnotes which means it is coming soon.
Well ... good luck with that ... as R217 is completely unplayable :)

There isn't a non Test Server feedback for 217, even though the Patchnotes are already out. Thus, I'll have to post here.

    • Advanced View:
Does the statement "...shows how far the value is away from the maximum power level" mean:

    • that the "707 Critical Hit Rate" is 33% away from minimum value?
    • that the "+ 23.7% critical damage is 51% away from minimum value?
    • that the "54.6% inc crit hit rate on this item is 29% away from minimum value?

Inquiring minds want to know how to read these numbers. Is the percent from 0 or from the minimum range?

Is not a nonsense, you agreed with all my points, but no one (excluding you, sometimes) is saying this facts to try to change the path that the game has taken lately.
Some classes are heard and some classes don't.
Mages talking about balance... Ha, ha.

You are avoiding the fact that this change (blues:p) was for all players (all classes) while pets are done to specific classes so they have certain possibilities that other classes don't, and this change of EA is made on purpose at this exact moment just for that reason.

  11. .RakshaRanja.

    .RakshaRanja. Padavan

You know what's funny? Yeah, sure, Karabossa's for SWs but Asar is still way better than raptor.
Karabossa's giving me 20% total damage on non-ice and non-poison bosses.
Raptor's giving me 6% total damage on non-ice and non-poison bosses.

    18/28 = 0,643
    20% * 0,643 = 12,86

So for DK, RA and SM Asar's twice as effective as Raptor.
Oh, yes. That I havent thought of.

    So it's about 50% resistances meanwhile armor's about 80%.

    Well that's a big difference.

Tbf I shouldnt be talking much bout pvp cause I just simply ignore it.
There's nothing I could care less than pvp in this game at this point (I enjoyed it alot at lv 45 tho, was playin plenty of 1v1s and 5v5s back then, during the 2h are slowly starting to be viable meta).

I'll test it one day. Dont have time neither patience atm.

Well, Im talking about myself. Im not using these.
Also most of this stuff sound pretty "out of this world-ish". I knew about one "cheat" back in the day but never saw anything meaningfull come out of it excluding camera stuff.

Even if people are actually doing so they must be terrible cause even playing alot of "guild pvp" on 1v1s lately I still managed to keep 60% win ratio without any cheats and with account as old as skin on gram's heels.

Maybe playin LoL as skillshot oriented champion and getting to high plat in soloq trained me well enough to handle that. Dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Seriously, you have literally the same possibilities as mages. Like what's your issue buddy?
Why are you so upset about 4% more total damage (instead of 200000 you'd hit for 208000)?
Why are you ignoring completely the fact Im having bigger hits (8k POG) from SPHERE ONLY while you profit from almost all boss-fight oriented skills?

    My god.

Yep for everyone ... none of the players who had RoyalBlues would mind if new players were given automatically 5x RoyalBlues for FREE once they hit cap level ... for the sake of diversity :)

I was looking some thread to troll in ... so I am not in mood for calculations and testing. Xd
How about Heredur Doll + Raptor/(any other doll) ... assuming the mechanics are not changed (I haven't tested it yet) ... one Heredur Doll should be working for all in the group.

    You will see ;)

  13. .RakshaRanja.

    .RakshaRanja. Padavan

The perfect combo atm is Karabossa+Asar+Heredur. 39% ice reduction and 29% armor reduction.
If you manage to use raptor (cause it's your teammates that use dolls) that would be 11/10.

Oh my... If you are happy thinking this... ok, having 1 more cut is impressive, in fact most of the players reached one more cut with the change of runes anyways xD

I saw a fully crafted weapon in a video from the test server. It had 1123 top base damage that was described as 95%, and I think it's obvious it's a 95% of the max value.
It had these 75-76% IDotI lines, which were described as 80%, so that's quite obvious that it's 80% of a max value, which is clearly the platinum value (that is defined as up to 20% of the max gold value, which is 76 something %).

Now, I think the item shown in the image is an weapon adornment, right? The values on the image are non-crafted, I think I get it right. Because a 54.6% crit rate line is far beyond a craftable line.

    Therefore:
I think all of the values shown in the image are % of the max possible value.
In case of the enchantments, they are % of the max that can drop on that specific item, IMO. and once there are crafted lines on it, it shows % of the max craftable line instead.

This is just me trying to figure it out. It may be wrong.

There's one thing, though, that doesn't fit. The guy in the video had a Dragan's ring that had a base damage value of 100. And this was described as 25%. Does that mean the max damage value on the ring is 400? I doubt it... :|

Math guy chiming in here to answer this a little more precisely. If 100% represents a max platinum value for an enchantment, 83.33% will represent the max gold value. That is what you get when you dived (1/1.2).

Anybody notice that the latest r217 update brought back the witch event but did not reset the progress from the previous iteration of the witch event on test server?

I logged in today and notice that I had just about 1450ish progress on both my guys, which made sense, as I ran the last iteration to get the first speed rune.

The percentage shows quality of a base value / enchantment. The quality does not (should not) change when item's tier or level is updated. It is not possible to calculate minimum / maximum value of base value / enchantment from the value and quality percentage as the quality is calculated from a range, which does not start at 0. Example - let's have imaginary item with base value 100. The quality percentage would be:
    - 100% for range 0 - 100
    - 100% for range 50 - 100
    - 50% for range 0 - 200
    - 50% for range 50 - 150
    - 25% for range 75 - 175
    - 0% for range 100 - 200

    The quality is calculated as following: q = 100 * (Val - Min) / (Max - Min)

Total wrong , not from minimum , from maximum ! I.e. from max platinum line values, for 54.4% inc crit rate on item - total % for 2 lines enchant against max platinum values for 2 lines .
