    In Brief
    With Release 160 we are correcting various parts of the Parallel Worlds, especially when it comes to the loot experience: new items have been added and existing ones have been corrected!Speaking of corrected, we improved and fixed the (boss) monster behavior and have added first improvements to the moon events. The Steam Mechanicus and Ranger received a much-needed balancing. Premium account holders have received a new and useful benefit. Finally, jackpots with gold and Andermant can be won from the Jesters!

    New Features

    New Norseland Set

    The Norseland Set drops from monsters between levels 30 and 35 in the region of the Norselans and is composed of 7 parts: helmet, pauldrons, off-hand item, main weapon, gloves, boots and torso. All the set parts (also the guaranteed ones) can be acquired via world drops during playing. On top of that, the pauldrons are guaranteed drop after completing The Soulless Flood Quest 3/3 and the helmet is guaranteed drop after killing Sigrismar for the first time (if you have finished these quest rows you will only be able to obtain these as world drops).

    • Each Jester got his own Gold and Andermant Jackpot
    • The Gold Jackpot can be won by wagering with Gold at the Rune Board
    • The Andermant Jackpot can be won by wagering with Andermant at the Rune Board
    • Every made stake at the Rune Board automatically increases the respective Jester’s jackpot size
    • Once a Jackpot is won, it resets to its starting value (100 Gold & 10.000 Andermant)

    New Item Set: Bearach’s Untamed Might
    A new set has been added: Bearach’s Untamed Might. It consists of two items and is available in Parallel World the dungeon where you have to face the boss monster Bearach.

    New Premium Benefit: Portable Locker
    Premium account holders will find a new button in their inventory. A click on the button will open the Locker, regardless whether a character is in the wild or during a battle.​

    Changes

    Update!
    Changes applied to the Arachna set
    We reduced the maximum number of spiders on the Arachna set to 3 but simultaneously increased the spawn rate from 5% to 25% on Tier 2 and from 10% to 50% on Tier 3. We also increased the damage dealt by spiders from to 350% base damage over 10 seconds.

    6th Inventory Tab
    A sixth inventory tab can be added to your heroes’ locker. In total 20 additional slots can be acquired.

    Random Monster Enchantments
    Champions with the random monster enchantment Lightning Magic will now work consistently. The marker for "Defender" champion monster (tougher, casts a shield) is now white and can be distinguished better from other champions

    Monster Behavior

    The following changes apply to troll types (i.e Flamefist Cave Trolls) and skeletal type (i.e Flamecult Servants) enemies:​
    • Characters can evade melee attacks from troll type enemies and skeletal type enemies
    • Projectiles from troll-type enemies have been slowed down in velocity
    • Fewer skeletal type enemies are armed with bows but they now shoot fire arrows instead of regular arrows
    Parallel Worlds: Grimmagstone
    • Greater variety of champion monsters
    • There are now at least 2-3 champions distributed on the map (excluding the boss and ritual guardian in the map)
    • The ritual was toned down a bit:
      • No Flamefist Cave Trolls
      • Fewer monsters
      • Worshippers Flamecult appear later
      • No additional champion in the ritual
    Parallel Worlds: Fortress of the Alliance
    • Enemies with ranged attacks can spawn on this map now
    • Monster names have been corrected
    Automatic Pick-Up for Materi Fragments
    As promised in release 159, Materi Fragments will be picked up automatically now.

    Merchants & NPCs
    NPC Salvendar (Materi Fragment Trader)
    He offers now standard legendary equipment in exchange for Materi Fragments (MF). Attention: These offers can only be bought once per day.​
    • Random Legendary Weapons: 1500 MF
    • Random Legendary Equipment: 1000 MF
    • Random Jewelry: 1000 MF
    • Salvendar doesn't offer the Magical Glasses of the Fragment Seeker anymore.

    NPC Rovette (Charmer)
    She offers a bundle of 10 Universal Health Potions for 599 Andermant (RC).​

    In addition, there is now a trader in front of each entrance of a dungeon again; appearing after the dungeon quest is finished. These traders now offer the Magical Glasses of the Fragment Seeker and items that teleport you directly to the boss of the according dungeons. These teleport items can be obtained for Andermant or Materi Fragments from characters with level 30 or higher.​
    • Painful: 100 Andermant / 250 MF
    • Excruciating: 140 Andermant / 350 MF
    • Fatal: 180 Andermant / 450 MF
    NPC Zumpe (Curious Merchant)
    • Now offers a legendary piece of equipment on your level in exchange for 1 Gilded Clover
    Item: Mask/Helmet/Cap of Death
    The Helmet of Death headpiece can now drop from the boss monster Mortis in the Excruciating and Fatal difficulty degrees.

    Class balancing + improvements

    After adjusting the Dragonknight’s Lifekeeper weapon, we will apply some further balancing adjustments with this release that will address the class’ balancing stability:​

    Ranger
    • Reduced the direct damage of Explosive Arrow from 150% to 120%
    • The Explosive Arrow talent Heavy Arrows now increases the direct damage caused by Explosive Arrow by 25% instead of 33%.
    • Slightly increased the delay of the explosion of Explosive Arrow
    • Reduced essence cost of Explosive Arrow from 6 to 5
    Steam Mechanicus
    • Reduced the dismantling area of all turret skills by 17% (from 15 to 12.5 meters) when you leave it, your turret will dismantle.
    • The Mechanical Turret talent Steel Core Ammo now increases the Mechanical Turret’s damage by 10% instead of 20%
    Item Sets: Tier level in tooltip added
    Tiers of unique items have been clarified and added to the item tooltip information. The tooltip will also now also feature information whether an item can be crafted to a higher tier.​

    Object: Toltac totems stay destroyed
    In Stillwater Bay and Frog River Delta, the totems of the TolTac tribes now stay destroyed after the quests to destroy them is finished.

    Map: Gleaming Mountains terrain reworked
    Steep ramps in the Gleaming Mountains have been adjusted to look more natural.

    Full & New Moon Items

    Karabossa's Fairy Claw & Vargulf's Ancestral Teeth can be stacked

    Item: Malyssa’s Magical Scroll (difficult) new icon
    A new icon has been added to the scroll.

    Tooltip: Item Block Strength Readability Improved
    The tooltips of shields/shield quivers/orbs/absorbers were updated. The basic block strength is no longer shown as an additional enchantment; it now is a basic attribute of these items. The total values on your items were not changed (it is basically now just shown in white instead of in blue).

    Furthermore block strength values will now be shown correctly in preview windows (e.g. quest rewards) and in the item compare tooltip.

    Steam Mechanicus: Radius of turrets reduced
    Reduced radius from 15 to 12.5m - (after moving that far away from your turret, it will disappear).

    Merchant: Added missing essences
    Added Overwhelming Essences of Aggression to the essence merchant in Kingshill.

    Map: Twilight Downs adjusted
    A tree in the Twilight Downs map was moved to prevent monsters from being hidden behind it in the quest "Knee-deep in Floods (1/2)".

    Bug Fixes

    Item Set: The Untouchables bugged set bonus
    The bonus effect Invigorate of the set The Untouchables do not stack anymore from un- and re-equipping the items. Furthermore, "Invigorate" now lasts 4 seconds.

    Item: Icon of Candy Cane missing
    The icon of the item Candy Cane (for the Dragonknight) was missing. It has now been added to all rarities of the item.​

    Map: Improved minimum quality of loot for boss monsters
    Unique Items can now additionally drop on top of regular loot, so character will always get the intended minimum quality of loot. Empty drops have been taken out of the loot lists of boss monsters like Balor.

    Map: Resistance Command Center
    A rare case was fixed where the level edges would be visible in the Resistance Command Center when playing in the web browser.

    Map: Troll Canyon
    Some tiles of the map Troll Canyon have been fixed, which caused flickering.

    Map: Parallel World Hagastove Grotto
    A wall piece in the Hagastove Grotto where players or monsters could walk into and be invincible was changed to be not accessible (both in regular Hagastove Grotto and the Parallel Worlds).

    Map: Abyss of Time cleaned up
    We have fixed an issue in the map Abyss of Time where objects would hinder the player from moving to certain areas.

    Guilds: Officer can kick Guild Leaders
    Officers were able to remove Guild Leaders. This has been fixed and officers can no longer remove members ranked higher than rank "member" from the guild.

    Heredur's Royal Shield: Upgrade Costs Changed
    The Tier 1 version of Heredur's Royal Shield had too low upgrade costs. The upgrade costs (Glyphs of Power) have been balanced and are now in line with other unique items. The upgrade level of existing items is not affected by this change.

    All tiers of this item had too low selling prices; especially the selling prices of the higher tiers have been increased.​

    Item drop behavior corrected
    Items such as Predator and Starlight were dropping already for characters with level 10. This has been corrected and now items with such a rarity can only drop in the Excruciating and Fatal modes, this means, for players level 50. Please find here as well the minimum level at which certain item sets in PW are dropping:​



      • New boss sets Tier 1 – They can drop in the Painful mode and on level 30 onwards.
      • New boss sets Tiers 2 and 3 – They drop only in Excruciating and Fatal and only for level 50.
      • Parallel Worlds rings – They can drop in all three difficulty levels and on level 30 onwards.
      • Untouchables set – It can be obtained across difficulty levels, from level 10 onwards.
    Combat Value display error
    A bug has been corrected that caused the Combat Value of an item to be zero when sold to any merchant NPC.

    Set: Dark Corruption influences skill tooltips
    Wearing items of the Dark Corruption set doesn't corrupt skill tooltips any longer.​

    Dragonknight talent fixed
    “Toughening impact” has been fixed and now gives your character the correct armor and resistance.

    Boss Monsters not triggering
    A bug was fixed that allowed players to defeat bosses from distance without triggering their attention.

    Reset boss monsters by exiting groups
    A bug has been fixed that would allow players to reset boss monsters without having to complete the maps prior to the boss room again

    PvP: Final Supernova dealt damage to PvP structures
    A bug was fixed that would allow Dragonknights and Steam Mechanics to deal enormous amounts of damage to towers in the 6v6 Storm the Fortress using their skill Final Supernova. Towers are now completely immune against the damage from this skill (affects all classes).

    Health restoring skills fixed
    A bug has been fixed that allowed certain healing skills to be used in the PvP modes 1v1 (Duel) and 3v3 (Team death match) over time.

    List of affected skills:
    • Dragon Hide (Warrior)
    • Mighty Wild Swing (Warrior)
    • Magic Missile with Connected Lives (Mage)
    • Deadly Blow with Robbed of Life (Ranger)
    • Wild Pack with Bound Lives (Ranger)
    • Steam Conductor with Recovery (Dwarf)
    • PvP Talent Supportive Aura (all classes)
    • PvP Talent Ready for Battle (all classes)
    Exploit: Boss monsters stuck in obstacles
    Boss monsters Heredur and Bearach were easily defeated because characters could hide behind obstacles where they were immune against the attacks of the boss monsters.This has been corrected for the sake of fair play.​

    Doubled Event Notifications
    When logging in, your character got multiple "special event" notifications (left side of the screen) - way more than the number of events actually active. This has now been corrected.​

    Known Issues

    The following issues are known to the developing team. A quick hotfix is currently planned to be launched on Thursday morning the 21st of January.


    Skills
    Ranger skill ‘Heavy Arrows’ & Steam Mechanicus skill ‘Steel core Ammo’ displaying a wrong value in their tooltip.
    Heavy Arrows increases the damage by 25% and not by 33%.
    Steel Core Ammo increases the damage by 10% instead of 20%

    Premium
    Premium extra inventory is now hidden as long a player is in the tutorial.
    It becomes visible by reaching the first town Grimford.


    Update!

    New upgraded cloaks inside the game
    Some of you may have noticed that the quest cloaks have an upgraded version right now with stats that differ substantially from the same old cloaks. Please rest assured that this is not intended and that it will be corrected in an upcoming release.

    Norseland set:
    Although the majority of the items will drop levels 30-35, there is a chance that some of them drop also from one or two levels below or above their minimum and maximum value.
