There are some new to Drakensang, and then there are some new to pc gaming in general. A new idea here is that yes the game's intro makes a point of showing characters what controls to use and what abilities you have, but the in general newbies have no idea about things like, tactics, in a manner of speaking. when to run, when to stand still, when to switch from hunting arrows to scatter shots (just an example) and how to set up your skill slots for different occasions, such as quick mob farming, obviously you want your widespread attacks dominant, or boss slaying, you want your stronger single target skills in the fore ground, obviously, and even an evasion system, combining a dive with a blades dance to skirt past a large crowd of monsters, and then dashing away with adrenaline! some players don't know enough to assign themselves their main "trigger fingers" and assign those fingers their most used skills closest and least farthest off, or how to set your fingers so you don't displace your hand trying to reach skills 7 or 1 from 3 keys away. This doesn't have to be an activity or introduction in the game, but possibly a commonplace guide they could access anyplace with a hotkey, there are thousands of tips from thousands of gamers that could pack this guide idea with enough information to fully instruct any player new to the PC world of gaming, i was personally friends with a player who didn't even know what hot keys are, or how to use them, it's a more common occurrence than you would think, but the reason this is an important step, is that players who get frustrated, are going to show a lack of interest, if they can't get the hang of things for themselves then they may well quit the game even if they like it, just because they can't make it work in their favor!

There is a comprehensive guide here in the forum. And a section of the forum dedicated to newbies. Also, 99.99% of players who start a new game do not reach for a manual first. They get stuck straight in and only look for a manual/guide when they get stuck or they get hammered by everything in sight and can't make any progress.
