    It's just a guess.

You matched 2 photos with Italy, but what about the other one? Anything Italy-related there?

    Drawing from other rumor threads
    and continuing the riddle.
    My answer is _ _ _ _

Antarctica is the only place that does not produce _ _ _ _
Roman legions were paid with_ _ _ _
Some people think _ _ _ _ goes good with pizza

Sea chart, may be something related to Marko Polo, who was an Italian sailor that traveled the southern hemisphere and charted the seas.

    some answers, lets see

If I had put a map of Madagascar, it wouldnt have a cross on it.

    Italics is not the answer.

Salt is related, but its not right.

The name of this island is the answer

That's a testudo formation, typical of Roman legions. So, it may have to do with turtles. If I recall it correctly, Roman army strategists got inspired by turtles to devise the testudo formation. And "testudo" I think it meant "turtle" in educated classic Latin -too lazy to do a Google search: it's Easter's Sunday....-. (EDIT: Ashamed of my laziness, I did the search: it meant "turtle", indeed).

And, abubadi, where did you get from that Marco Polo sailed the Southern seas?

Pretty sure Marco Polo`s journey was all across land , tho I`m not really into that era`s history .
