    The Winter Thaw Event

What are the important dates I need to know for the event?

The event will run from 13th January at 12 noon until 12 noon on 3rd February. The Black Market will remain open until the end of the day on 5th February! All times are local server time.

When will the Ice Ammo melt?

The Ice Ammo will melt on 6th February at 12 noon (CET). No other ammo will melt – only the Ice Ammo!

What ammo can I craft and how?

In the Ice Chamber (Trader Tab) you can craft Ice Ammo using Snow Ammo plus a little bit of gold. You can also simply buy the Ice Ammo in the Black Market for pearls if you do not have enough Snow Ammo left.

In addition, it is also possible to craft Burning Ice Ammo using Ice Ammo and some pearls – however Burning Ice Ammo will not cause extra damage against the Event NPCs during the Winter’s Thaw Event since it is meant for PvP.

Which Event NPCs will be on the sea during the Winter’s Thaw Event?

The Hugin, Jörmungander and Sleipnir NPCs will sail around on ALL PvP maps during the event. The Sleipnir NPCs are minions from the Jörmungander.

Which Ammo can I use to sink the Event NPCs?

You can use any ammo (gold or pearl) to sink the Hugin! In order to sink the Jörmungander and Sleipnir NPCs you can use any pearl ammo – Ice Ammo will cause far greater damage against all three Event NPCs!

What rewards can I get from the Event NPCs?

The Hugin will give you some Ice Ammo or Snowball Ammo. The amount you get will depend on how much damage you cause against it. The player who causes the most damage will also get 1 crystal. The Jörmungander will give you Crystals or, if you are lucky, the Bjorgold pet! The Sleipnir will give you Pearls, shared depending on how much damage you cause.

What stats does the Bjorgold pet have?

The Bjorgold pet is a brand new pet and has a powerful 5% Damage Prevention bonus as well as 20,000 Hit Points,

What is so good about the Ice Ammo?

Although all of the Ice Ammo will melt on the 6th February at noon, it is still an ammo worth having until then! Against all three Event NPCs it will cause extra damage (although the damage caused over time will not be increased). Not only that, but it also freezes your opponents for 10 seconds.

After you have been frozen and start moving again, there is a cooldown of 20 seconds until you can be frozen by any other player again.

What can I get from the Ice Floes?

Ice Floes will be available during the event on the PvP maps. If you make the last shot against them, you will be rewarded! Rewards include Ice Ammo, Windstorm, Mojos and Skyfires.

What rewards can I get from the Event Ranking?

Points can be obtained by making the most damage against any of the 3 Event NPCs mentioned above. At the end of the event the rewards will be as follows:

    • 1st place: 15x Firestorm Cannons and 1x Libra Bonus Map
    • 2nd place: 10x Firestorm Cannons and 1x Aquarius Bonus Map
    • 3rd place: 5x Firestorm Cannons and 1x Aquarius Bonus Map
    • 4th and 5th place: 1x Aquarius Bonus Map
    • 4 Random players*: 1x Taurus Bonus Map
    • 1 Random player*: 10x Firestorm Cannons and 1x Taurus Bonus Map.
*who finished in position 1 - 100 in the event ranking. Please note that due to the prizes being given out randomly, players can win more than once!

Don’t forget! Ice Ammo will melt on 6th February!
