    Any player who has not unlocked the Voodoo Castle slots yet, unlock them now.

    Currently they are not linked to any other type of Castle Slot unlocks, and are independent of the price increase in Castle Slot unlocks.
    After the update, these will increase in price as you unlock Slots in other Castle types.

    It seems that reloading ramp has been downgraded. I hope this is just an error, because at level 8 you get 2.4 seconds off reloading speed. Right now we have 2.6 at level 7.

    It has been designed like that.

    Level # = Previous | New
    Level 1 = 0.4 | 1.0
    Level 2 = 0.8 | 1.2
    Level 3 = 1.2 | 1.4
    Level 4 = 1.6 | 1.6
    Level 5 = 2.0 | 1.8
    Level 6 = 2.5 | 2.0
    Level 7 = 2.6 | 2.2
    Level 8 = N/A | 2.4

    As you can see, the previous upgrade amounts were not consistent, and the last level only increased by 0.1 even though it costs the most. Similarly, if they did not change this castle then we would again see only an increase by 0.1 or possibly even less, and pay even more pearls.

    Also, pay attention to the starting values. For the level 1 castle it is now better than if you had the old level 2 version, which only makes it easier for smaller boats, which in my eyes is a positive.

    The main thing I think players need to remember is that although the total decrease has been reduced, this has been reduced for everybody, and in the grand scheme of things, it does not actually change the values that much.
    For instance a Firestorm had a reload of 2.04 it will be 2.16, a Level 4 Doomhammer had a reload of 3.42 it will be 3.54.

    Add that to the fact that this is a decrease to everyone, so everyone will still be on the same level playing field, and that reload does not increase your damage in any way. I think this is an alright change in my opinion, and should of been done when they introduced level 7 castles.

    That I do not know. I personally would not expect a Castle Days until after the new Castles have been released, and even then not for a few weeks.

    Personally I feel the game has become too expensive to justify an increase in prices and that this "idea" will do
    nothing to attract and keep newer players.

    I would rather see problems in the game fixed before experimenting further with new ideas.

    Problems like the nightly lags that prevent people from doing event ships.
    Problems like the forum calendar not showing events and sales.
    Problems like the out of control number of Botts.
    Problems like people taking advantage of "Noob Protection" for years and years.
    Problems like the false advertising and poorly written product descriptions and then being double advertised
    under different titles ie:, The Zombie Pak and Current "Chill in the Air" event paks.
    Problems like having to repeatedly having to place items back into the items tool bars.
    Problems like the ship image under the profile tab doesnt change when you change you ship skin.

    How about this for a proposal ?? Give us a stable game we can play with all features working
    like they should and and maybe ....just maybe more people would be willing to play the game
    and spend more.

    If the Ferocious Bookkeeper castle is going to work like that, then damage output of Doomhammers is going to be outrageous while Firestorms get really small benefit from it.

    If you are reffering to that castle, that would increase pearl damage, it is/was removed.
    Sadly, as I was hoping to see that the MOST in the game. Critical damage, no thank you.

Yes you have bunch of fools that trying to play the beta like a live server and not to test new things as it is designed for, so just go and check the new things out and leave do not bother trying to test them you'll be wasting your time and ganged up on by at least 2 or more ships shooting for wasted battle points. It is so funny how they will be whining and crying in a couple of days when beta on. Weak accounts on live servers why they want to play beta all the time only way for them to ever have a big boat period!

    I completely agree. This game does NOT need additional layers of complication by churning the never-ending more castles, higher levels, more skills, better cannons, more buffs over and over and over and over again and again... rinse and repeat.

    The game needs simplification to attract new players, aka. 1 type of gold cannon, 1 type of gold ammo etc. etc.

    But, of course, BP knows the game is dying and doing their best to milk the cash cow before its ultimate death (and they are doing very little to revive interest in the game for the general public, imho).

    If there was a sufficient player base, even the premium subscription would be enough to sustain the game, but alas...

    308 is right bp wants us to buy more when game is not running 100 per cent all the time also i think we are getting sick of upgradeing all the time with real money give us something back like a event worth playing with no bugs

    I have to disagree with you on this one Arky. BP knew their scale on the cannon loader was messed up when the Level 7 time went up less than the other levels. And what matters here is that people paid *more* at the time and *now are/will be getting less*. So the goal line is (once again) being moved significantly farther away.

    As for the smaller boats (and let me throw in "new players" along with them, which are the lifeblood of a game), I can offer them no sympathy because BP doesn't. The focus is now only on pay2play (unless you are one of the 5 people on the planet that like to play a game where you spend no money and get constantly sunk off the game....doesn't sound like fun to me). If they cared about small boats/new players and helping the game, they should have already expanded the PvE maps at least back to where they were when I joined in 2009 (Maps 4/1 and below were PvE). Yet we have no expansion of PvE, despite the fact that now we have many more maps.

    But that said, and all I have written is just my opinion, your thoughts and analysis as always are much appreciated mate!:)

    I respect your opinion mate, and you certainly have the right to disagree with me. I was/am simply stating my beliefs on the matter.

    One thing I did neglect to mention when writing that post is the issue of server stability and player experience. The faster every player shoots, the more calculations that need to be done, which gives the servers more work to do. Now, as I am sure you and most other players are aware, we already suffer from server crashes, extreme lag etc, by keeping increasing the reload time so players fire faster and faster, I think it can only harm the servers. Not to mention, the more ammunition being fired meaning more for the game to render on your pc, meaning more lag. As I said previously, I am happy if they reduce the reload time, as it is being applied to every player and every boat, and anyone who wants to get to your level castle will be paying the same price you did anyway.

    That sounds like underinvestment in infrastructure in my ears, not an excuse for slowing the game down (even if I am old enough to remember the game from back in the day, where event cannons were the best and fastest gats around, no buffs attached, and we played the game nonetheless)

    I mor shooting makes causes lag, start by removing admiral quintors and change npc behavior. Syanites shooting you is no difficulty. Is an annoyance.
