What's the smartest invest!?

Hello everyone! A week ago I started to play again seafight and I'm a little bit behind with everything. I'm planning to "catch up" a little bit with the bigger players and I wanted to ask the more experienced players what's the best way to do it and how can I get the biggest boost with the ammount of pearls that I'll gain. I plan to farm a lot in the next period, so I need the best boost for PVE.
So my plan is as follow:
I want to buy 500k confetti ammo and farm on twisted vanguard. I did the math and this will give me ~400-500k pearls. Also I will get some cursed+radiant souls.
The situation of my account is:


Gleaming ruby: +13% cannon damage, Multifaceted Coral +19% Critical damage, Gleaming Lapis Lazuli +65000 hp, Sparkling Aquamarine +18% Damage Prevention



4 x devastator cannon; 10 x Lvl 2 Firestorm cannon; 7 x Firestorm cannon; 10 x Lvl 2 Doomhammer; 2 x Doomhammer; 14 x Voodoo Cannon; 177 x lvl 3 60 pounder ( Voodoo Priest lvl 2)


Ship Castles are looking very bad



The skills so far + 1 on Agwe's Armor

I also have premium on + discount. What do you suggest to invest the pearls that I'll get (400-500k)? How should I spend the cursed+radiant souls: should I get the Blighted Descent for the +20% cannon damage or should I go for the voodoo cannons? (already have the amount to buy 50 voodoo cannons)

WOW! winning the lottery will give you a greater ship with all the bells and whistles cuz it's gonna take a few thousand dollars to get ur boat competitive with the bigger ships that sail today. Maybe you should invest in gold bullion before you plunk down some coins on this game.

Anyway, I'm not looking to be in the top and reach players who spend tons of money with a 20 bucks investment. I am in the exact same situation,even tho I have a little bit better boat,with some more castles & more cannons,I still am on the same level as you are.
But I've played the game for 6 years + and I can strongly recommend you to focus on increasing your damage first.
Put your cannon loader (the one you have on lvl 3 now) at least to lvl 7 or maybe 8 if you can.
Then go for the reparation castle + cannon storage.
Don't forget to upgrade the cannon slots of course.
More damage + faster repair = more pearls in a shorter time.
As for skills,you already have what u need for damage,so don't waste pearls in buying crystals.
Eventually you will earn crystals during the game to put the new skill points.
Since now there's event,farm on event,when event will be over,get back in Raid map &/or play your bonus maps (don't forget that throwing pearls in aruba for mojos is a good deal also.
Since the Monthly Log in bonuses are decent now,you can get bags of gems as well as other great rewards.
Without spending crazy amounts of money you can build a decent ship just for fun & to spend some time in the game.

 

Sadly, USSChallenger1 is not joking! You can't build your boat up for free (or even at a halfway-reasonable cost) and be able to fight the top dogs (or even the intermediate ones). I know....I have played for almost 9 years, have spent a large sum of money over that time period, and I still am not a top-tier boat. Nor do I want to be (for the cost it would take me **even right now** to do so).

I'm not looking to compete against the big guys, I just want to have fun on the server I found again the pleasure to play this game and I want to get the most of it, if you know what I mean. Atm I'm focusing buying the remaining cannon slots, after this I will probably save pearls for the castle days. Another question if u are kind: Is there a way to get Commonwealth officers permanently? I buyed from the blackmarket the one who give +40 cannon slots and it was amazing...Also, how do I get exactly the crowns? I missed click and I spend 5k of them

 

Unfortunately no.
You can't have them permanently,they have a limit on the time they stay on the ship.
But you can have the lvl 1 Officer always,by capturing every day HRMS Warrior npc,which is located from 21/1 map & above (if you don't have 21 level,I am sorry but I don't think you can have those officers permanently) you can always buy them with crowns but that is not a smart move since you have more important stuff to focus on.
Crowns you can get easily in 21 + maps with daily quests and npcs as well as from payment,sometimes they put payment packages which contain crowns.

OK, sorry for the unsolicited sarcasm in my post, it was meant to be funny and serve as a warning that as you develop your boat you will be tempted to spend more money on it. There are quite a few players who have written posts concerning how to build up boats, ARKY, Krutchy myself included, but here is a post I wrote a week or two ago for someone and I will post it here for you...
The following article which I wrote and explained to another player hopefully will shed light on the castle/skill setup for you.

I agree with what everyone has said in the above threads but ultimately it's you and what you want to do with your ship. Over the past years this same question is asked and answered, but keep in mind, once you decide on which castle to get you cannot undo them as you can with skills.
The first two castles anyone should get is Cannon Reloader and Gunpowder flask. These two critical castles are what I recommend to every new player and someone such as yourself. The following castles not in any order are important Carpentry, Astrolab, Reinforced Hull and Adamantine, Centerboard, Sternpost, Cannon storage, Maintenance crew, Cleansing team, Shipwrights schematics, Poisoners Lab and the last two which are practically useless without the other, Rocketmaster and Wildfire.
Now, I know most will say there is nothing in critical hits but that is a personal preference if you like stats. I didn't mention any castle in the Voodoo area either, because those are individual preference as well.
Those castles I did mention are most of the castles to get a boat going and keep it on the water for awhile until you can dial in your castle preferences to coincide with any skills you have. You mentioned harpoons, keep in mind with what I said in the last sentence, if you no skills in harpoons don't spend pearls in castles for a few meager points.
It go's without saying upgrade those castles especially during castle days but upgrade them to max ASAP.

Now, you wanted to know about skills, skills are bought with crystals which as the more you get the higher the cost will be so, be mindful of what exactly you want to do with your ship, farm or fight or a combo of both. If you are concerned more of hitting power then I would say leave everything that deals with harpoons with the very minimum requirement in order to proceed. If you are wanting to farm then You want to fill the Legba pathway with crystals for it deals mainly with farming more so than the Agwe or Ogoun paths.

Lets discuss speed for a second. most if not all higher level players have a top speed of 900 to 1000 speed on their ship and they have range on the cannons, what I'm saying is this they gonna get ya anyways so why waste precious skills on speed when It can be used in other areas.

The nice thing about skills is during talent days resetting your skill tree will cost you nothing but at any other time will cost 100 crystals.

Good luck and do read all of the tutorial tips listed within the forum for additional information.

In my personal opinion you should join an guild. Why ? Because being in one always make game easier such like you can get some help from your fellow guild members , ask them for any sort of advice , or they can payout you some gold ^^. I took a peek on screenshots you provided. First of all you should sort your gems out , why ? Critical damage gem / hp gem are not so good for you at the state you are currently on. There's next question that jumped into my mind , what is your hit prob.?? See this is important for you aswell right now. If its above 100 % then regular npcs ( some event aswell ) will be hit by your ship with full cannon power , however if your hit prob. is lower than 100 % ( if we talk about normal npcs - regular farming ) then change your Critical damage to Hit Probability . Same goes with HP. Why do you wear HP gem ?? See you should have only those gems on your main design :

1. Main design :

Cannon damage , Hit probability , Dodge chance , Damage Prevention , Special ( here you should think what is best for you , or pick best one from what you have )

2. 2nd design - aka rep ship :

Cannon damage , Critical damage , damage prevention / dodge chance , Repair gem , Special ( + 80 speed , + 30 % amulet healing , + 5 % plates of armor )

Now in the 2nd design - rep ship - you have to make your own decision between damage prevention / dodge chance gem.
I am not sure if you know how these gems work so I will try to explain it to you .
In short your dodge chance affect your opponent ( works same on players/npcs ) hit prob. , and your damage prevention affect your opponent ( works same on players/npcs ) cannon damage. Is that clear for you mate?

Next question , what are your current gems on pet ? Here goes same thing like with designs. In short you should have 2 pet sets - one with Hit prob and dodge and second with dodge chance and damage prevention. If you have some cannon damage gems for pet use it on 3rd set as bonus map pet to boost your damage with hollow ammo.
Try to work your cannons out , i see you do not have any admiral cannons - with are best for bonus maps / quests etc. - due to hollow ammo bonus + 2 dmg from each cannon.

Now lets talk about castles , in my opinion you should go with such setup :

1. Cannon Loader ( speed your cannons up )
2. Cannon Storrage ( more slots for cannons )
3. Astrolabe ( increase your hit prob )
4. Gunpowder flash ( increase your cannons damage )
5. Adamantine Hull ( increase your defence )
6. Voodoo Mirrage ( increase your defence )
7. Sternpost ( boost your speed )
8. Military Expert ( increase your cannon damage )
9. Centerboard ( boost your speed only when you have above 50 % HP - should be done as last )

Upgrade your castles only on CASTLE DAYS ! So you can save up to 25 % on each upgrade.
Please keep in mind this is only my opinion - you dont have to fully agree with what i say m8. Castles dont have to be done in such order as listed above.

Due to your skills m8 , very first skill points that every pirate unlock should be placed as your in Black Gunpowder , and Oguns Wrath , dont do anything else in Ogun it is not necessary for you right now. In Agwe you should make max on Agwe Plater Armor , add 1 into Rocket Shield , 1 into harpoon damage , 2 into rep up , 6 into agwes aim ( if your hit prob will be above 100 % you can put just 4 ) , 1 into HP , and 5 into range. Skip Legba for now ,focus on NPC damage.

Now lets talk about making some pearls, dont buy doubler as some may suggest - its useless now - amount of glitters on map decreased lately. Try to do some event mini games ( avaiable right now) and find out how much profit you can do. Personally i do 40 k pearls from every minigame i make. So i think the most wise move in your current situation would be to kill few Corrupted Remaids and give it a try with Ancient Emblems! Heres a link to video how to make this map - I posted it so you can see how its done.

Give it a try to make some group maps - you can get a design equiped with 4 lvl 21 gems!! ( see thats why i said to join guild as 1st cos it would be easier to do those maps with teammates ). This design Blighted Descent in my opinion is not worth it, go for cannons ! That what you need the most.
Ohh i forgot to mention it , you can get some Emperor booty bags out of that event minigame aswell ( with contain 5 gems between lvl 16-20 ).

I made this new post cause I was looking for an advice for my situtation, for how should approach the game in this moment and I wanted to know what's the best thing to do in this moment with that amount of pearls Thanks again for reading all my post and for your vast reply!

About your response, there is mutch to say...First of all it's hard to join a good guild, I'm only lvl 12 atm and for now I want to have fun by myself or with other players, but I don't want wars; protecting islands etc. I want to focus only on building my ship, PVP is not for me atm
Second: those are the best gems that I have. I have left: 95k vp, 12% dodge change, 11.5% dodge chance, 35k vp. On the pet I have only 10% gold from monsters and 25k hp, no other gems...
Third:Hit probability +100%, Critical hit probability: +23.05%, critical damage: +67.49%
Minigame seems impossible atm, but I keep trying, i have plenty of ancient emblems

try to join GB* guild , they are very nice and theres few ppl who like to help. Change your HP gem to that dodge one, ah i see so your pet is not so great too. I am glad you tried to do event minigame , you failed ? dont give up ! Just move onto something diff m8 - sometimes you have to loose we cant win all the time.
