Armada of the Dead Event from 9th July until 21st July

The “Armada of the Dead” event features following:

• Battles with The Merciless Admiral, Alphonse, Odette, Marcelle and Jacques, and not to forget: The horrible plague!
• 2 rankings (for each phase one)
• 2 series of quests, 10 normal and 2 daily quests
• Event chests
• 2 new ship designs and 1 new pet (Trailblazer, Vanguard and Stryga)

The event starts at 12 noon on the 9th of July and ends at 12 noon on the 21st of July, the second phase starts at 12 noon on the 13th of July.
All times are local server times.

The event ships spawn on maps: 5 – 40.

The “black market” ends when the event ends.

During this event you will have lots of battles against event ships - and you might have to fight each of them twice!

First phase:

You have to battle the armada in its “living” form.

You meet normal ships, shooting as normal ships and sinking as normal ships!​

Second phase:

During this phase of the event, the event ships seem normal, but if sunk, they are likely to return from the afterlife and you must fight them again as “undead” creatures.

The “zombie form” is much stronger, because they have an extra voodoo shield, but the rewards are definitely also much better.​

Ignis ammunition causes more damage against all “living” event ships and Soul Eater ammunition causes much more damage against all “undead” event ships.


Rewards:

• Vain Alphonse:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Cursed Souls or Ignis ammunition and has a small change to receive Pearls.
• Rotting Alphonse:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Cursed Souls or Soul Eater ammunition and has a small change to receive Pearls.
• Perfumed Odette:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Cursed Souls or Radiant Souls and has a small change to receive Pearls.
• Putrid Odette:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Cursed Souls or Radiant Souls and Pearls.
• Graceful Marcelle:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Cursed Souls or Radiant Souls and Pearls.
• Shambling Marcelle:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Cursed Souls or Radiant Souls and Pearls.
• The Merciless Admiral:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • Spawns after a certain amount of Vain Alphonse, Perfumed Odette and Graceful Marcelle have been sunk.
  • Generates zones during the fight that infect you with the plague.
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Peals and Radiant Souls.
  • The players who does the last shot and or who inflicts the most damage has a small chance to receive the new pet: Stryga
• The Soulless Admiral:
  • Must be shot with elite ammunition.
  • Spawns after a certain amount of Vain Alphonse, Perfumed Odette and Graceful Marcelle have been sunk.
  • Generates zones during the fight that infect you with the plague.
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Peals and Radiant Souls.

• Fat Jacques:
  • Can be shot with all types of ammunition.
  • Appears to aid the Merciless Admiral during your battles with the Admiral.
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Peals and by chance with Crowns.
• Bloated Jacques:
  • Can be shot with all types of ammunition.
  • Appears to aid the Soulless Admiral during your battles with the Admiral.
  • Depending on how much damage you´ve inflicted you are rewarded with Peals and by chance with Crowns.

Event Chests:

In the event chests you find many useful items, like Soul eater ammunition, Ignis ammunition, Dragonfire, Simbi and Legba Amulets, Firestorm cannons level 0, Radiant souls, Cursed souls and other items.


Quests:

You can accept quests by speaking to Barnacle Ballard (on the safe haven) in the first phase and Loreena Barrett in the second phase.

There are 2 quest chains, one for each phase with overall 10 normal and 2 daily quests.

The daily quests are reset each day at 12 noon (local server time).

Please note that any active daily event quests are reset at this time.


New Ship Designs and Pets:

There are two new Ship Designs and one new Pet.

Vanguard (Ranking Reward):

• Unblemished Ruby: 22% Cannon Damage
• Brilliant Rose Quartz: 11.5% Hit Probability
• Brilliant Sodalite: 15% Dodge Chance
• Brilliant Lapislazuli: 115,000 Hitpoints

Trailblazer (Shop):

• Unblemished Ruby: 22% Cannon Damage
• Unblemished Garnet: 22% Harpoon Damage
• Brilliant Lapislazuli: 115,000 Hitpoints
• Brilliant Sapphire: 115,000 Voodoo Points

Stryga (Possible Loot):

• Multifaceted Chalcedony: 5.5% Cannon Damage
• Multifaceted Kunzite: 14.25% Dodge Chance

Post Event Compensation:

The event keys will be exchanged for normal chest keys, Cursed souls and Radiant souls for ammunition.

There are two rankings, one for each phase, rewarded at the end of each phase.

Description:
Damn and blast it! Do these heathens have any idea what they’re doing? Surely humanity aren’t stupid enough to sell their own flesh and bone for their own greed. Description:
The changes we’ve seen, the meddling with ancient powers beyond even my comprehension. This world, and all that affects it, are due to the Inya. The ancient ones not only created the Map of Forever, the most corrupted return to us to seek our souls. The Black Toll sailing out of the Realm of Mist, their tendrils slowly twisting everything. I mentioned a cult, the Kadurum Y’Ka, who may have some involvement, we need to know more!

Description:
I realize that I sound more like Loreena than like myself, but something is building here, and I fear it is something we cannot stop. The Gisnu – her House of Knowledge – are the ones who are normally aware of other, corrupted groups who are a threat to the planet. Yet the Kadurum Y’Ka seem to have passed without notice. I must investigate.

Description:
This cult, from the notes I received previously there is a signature that indicates a link between them and the ancient Inya salt goddess, Y’Kanin. A saying used when a willing maiden was sacrificed to the sea, ‘What was given, receive!” Yet, I can’t help think that the Kadurum Y’Ka’s version is twisted beyond this ancient annual sacrifice. I must investigate.

Captain, I need to go soon. Travel across the world and seek out answers, a dangerous task from which I may not easily return. Before I go you must push back the undead who are leaking through the rift caused in the Map of Forever. Then, when the time is nigh, seek Loreena and tell her I have gone. Only the three houses together can save us!

Description:
What’s that you say? Ballard has gone to search for answers. The old fool will end up killing himself if I don’t send others out to protect him. However, I can’t do this until the seas around here are safe. As these ships are searching for something, and I have an idea what. The Map of Forever has been awakened and now the battle for control begins!

When I was just a young girl, my father never saw my potential. Yet, he was a sick and twisted man and I saw him perform rituals, hearing the name he invoked; ‘Kadurum Y’Ka’! The cult Ballard spoke of and one, until now, I thought was a minor concern. Although given my father’s actions, I should have known they were a greater threat.

Yet I bolted and ran, was set upon by Shadow Eaters and escaped by the skin of my teeth and the innate magic I held within me. Lost and alone in the world, abandoned by everything I knew!

Description:
My father pushed me towards the edge, threatening me and instilling me with terror. Giving me only one path to follow, a single way to remove this fear. Yes, captain, of course I killed him. Coldly and cleanly! In doing so understanding my own mortality and then ensuring his death had no use to the Kadurum Y’Ka. Making his existence meaningless.
