How to get rid of botters

    My suggestion is to make a small counter down in one corner. This counter should start on 30 or 60 min, whatever is more suitable, and then count down, after 25/55 min, a warning to reset the counter should appear, giving the player 5 min to reset the counter, or else he would be logged out immediately after the last 5 min countdown reached 0.

    It should be possible to reset the counter at any time, so the 25/55+5 min countdown started all over again, making it possible for the player to time the reset at any given time to keep the interference to the game experience at a minimum.

    To reset the counter should only be possible for a life person not a computer, with a code or picture that only a life person can identify, similar to the code we have to enter when contacting support.

    With this system live, botters would only be able to be online for max. 30/60 min, before they were automatically throw off the sea chart.

    As long as its not something that a bot could activate, then this would work very well. +1

    The only problem I see is that they have refined the programs to log them back in and even allows them to target multiple different targets so I do not think it would be hard for them to set a timer and click said timer. Maybe a way to combat that would be to have a variable timer that changes each time. Just a thought.

    Yes, logging back in would also need to have the Captcha. If both the timer and logging in always required a Captcha (or similar) then the timer wouldn't need to vary and BOTs would only get one cycle before a real person would need to get involved again.
     
  7. Public shame the Cheats, BP knows and can see other scripts running in their game mark the accounts with cheaters mark. Public shaming but they have been taught these things from their parents no morals in people period. They think all owe them and so don't care and unless permanent bans will never stop and seen the mod say they can not ban them for fear of being sued so cheats cheat on so mark them for all to see!

    again you run into the legal issue "Defamation " You can not just "mark" some one with out the proper proof. I am not a lawyer but I do know that to make an unsubstantiated claim against someone opens you to legal action.

    As Tex Stated it becomes a Legal Issue with these kinds of things when the player base that "Pays the Bills" A.K.A. Heavy Cash Spenders or Cashers may accidentally be mis-marked as a Cheater(Botter) which is where the Defamation of Character Issue comes in and could cause legal Issues on the short run and if bad enough could kill the game off all together and as such requires that other members of the community as a whole submit evidence I.E. Video,Screen Shots, or other tangible proof to prevent a Legal Issue in a Court Setting.
     
  10. Then give the honest players a badge that gives a grater discout or something to show reward for morals and honesty seems nothing do for us

    Any conversation you may have had with a former mod where they provide any information violates a confidentiality clause that was signed by said mod. Admitting to this conversation by either you or the former mod opens up possible legal action. My advise is to never mention that conversation again to avoid any further action from said conversation. I am not messing with you nor am I singling you out mate. You have actually crossed into a legal area that could have a bad ending. I am asking that you drop it now.
