I agree that you are trying to prevent botters with new system, but think about small players who can play more than 12h per day, they start to get less and less when it's even hard for them to gain profit. I would suggest to add captcha system to login page so it would be difficult for bots to reckognise and log in to games with it and by doing it you could keep old system.
Another suggestion is to change system of how all buffs expels, if you decide to stick with this system, at least make that all buffs (premium not incl.) are decreasing by the time you are only logged in.

Logging in isn't where the problem is, its after they login that they start the bot. Unless you force a captcha confirmation on a regular basis (like hourly) it would make no difference. This would also make it very annoying for normal players as the captcha would interrupt normal game play too.

But what is more valuable for you? 5 seconds of your time to write down the random generated code or lose reward the longer you play and lose motivation to play game? For those who play 2 - 5 hours per day it's not big deal, but there are many people who can play game by hand +12h per day and they start to lose rewards.
